I work with a variety of people who appreciate the benefits of having time out to manage their stress levels. My hands-on treatments and workshops are designed to help you feel relaxed, energised and motivated, mentally, emotionally and physically. Guidance and support are provided in the form of tips, tools and techniques for you to use outside your treatment sessions. I work with organisations t
o provide them with Workplace Wellbeing Programmes designed to help reduce workplace stress and absenteeism, which will increase productivity and promote a more harmonious office environment. I also work with charities that support people who care for their loved ones in their own homes. The feelings of isolation and being on call 24/7 takes its toll on a carers' mental, emotional and physical health and that's where I come in. When you're caring 24/7, finding time to yourself can sometimes feel impossible and looking after yourself may only happen during respite periods. To support your service users' mental, emotional and physical health and wellness, I provide group workshops and 1-2-1 sessions designed to give carers tools and techniques to help them put some focus on their own health and wellbeing and to help increase their self-awareness and confidence. I am developing a 6 week, Caring for Carers Programme; a toolbox of techniques to build self-confidence, self-care and increase mental relaxation.
1-2-1 support is also available. Workshops include stress awareness and management, journaling, self-care techniques, meditation and mindfulness techniques. Carers Week is fast approaching and this year it runs from the 9th to 15th June.
I already have a relaxation event and a wellbeing workshop booked with Carers Trust Solihull and Derbyshire Carers Association.
These sessions help carers to take time out and put themselves on their to-do list and to be recognised for the important work they do.

In addition to my Unpaid Carers Toolkit workshops I run two other workshops which have been adapted with carers in mind and can be run online or in person.
They are:

Both give carers precious time away mentally and physically from their caring responsibilities to focus on their needs.
This will not only benefit them, but the person they are caring for too.
I already have bookings for a Carers Trust who is not physically local to me. It's an on-line evening event which is great for carers who work full-time.
Not every carer is fortunate enough to be a member of a Carers Trust organisation. That's why all my workshops are available on a one-to-one basis too.

Self-care ❤️
We will always find ways to justify why we’re not taking time out for self-care. We say to ourselves…
🚫 I don’t have the time
🚫 I don’t know what to do
🚫 I prefer to do things with friends and they’re busy too
🚫 It’s expensive etc. etc.
Throw in a dose of guilt for taking time out for yourself and self-care falls off your to-do list.
To help you get over these barriers here are three questions to ask yourself: -
1. What do I do to relax – mentally, physically, and emotionally?
2. What’s on my to-do list that is just for me and how often do I take time out?
3. How do I feel about my answers to questions 1 and 2?
Be honest with yourself as your answers to these questions will give you an indication of your level of self-care and the restrictions and challenges you may need to work on.

This is one of the rooms I work from at the lovely spa, Senses of Siam, which is located at The Courtyard at Middleton Hall.
The courtyard is a lovely place to visit with shops, a cafe and outside seating areas where you can sit, relax and enjoy the sunshine.

Meet Tracey 🙂
As a carer who also works full-time, Tracey wanted to feel relaxed, have some time to herself and be around other carers.
Like many unpaid carers, she felt stressed and tired and longed for a good night’s sleep.
When she attended one of the Relaxation Days I organised in partnership with Carers Trust Solihull she had the opportunity to have a private relaxing Reiki treatment with me before socialising with other carers.
After attending the relaxation day Tracy said she felt calm and had the best night’s sleep in ages.
Feeling isolated and that no one really understands the demands caring for a relative has on your mental health is common among unpaid carers.
My Relaxation Days aren’t just an opportunity to have a relaxing taster treatment of Reiki, reflexology or Indian head massage, they are also a time for unpaid carers to connect with other carers. This is so valuable and goes a long way towards not only reducing feelings of isolation but also creating a community.
Having a space where they feel supported, appreciated, and respected for the hard work they do gives them the strength to keep going. Sharing experiences and supporting each other is like having a comforting arm around you.

Recently I've made some changes to the services I'll be offering going forward.
So here's a quick reminder of the main hands-on treatments now on offer.

I'm qualified in over 25 different therapy modalities and work intuitively, which means when you work with me you get much more than just a treatment.
If I feel one of my other therapies will help to support you I will include it in your session too.
