Spinal Cord Injury
Caused by trauma (e.g. road accidents, falls, sports) or compression
Can be complete (no function below injury) or incomplete
Common symptoms: paralysis, sensory loss, bladder/bowel issues, breathing problems
Emergency care: spinal immobilisation, airway protection, urgent referral
Long-term rehab includes physio, OT, emotional support, and complication prevention
