JOB OPPORTUNITY

Bank Hours Maintenance Person – Care Home, Tamworth

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Person to join our friendly team on a bank hours basis at a busy care home in Tamworth.

This is a flexible role covering maintenance support when required, holidays and sickness The successful candidate will help ensure the home remains safe, well-maintained, and comfortable for our residents and staff.

Duties will include:
Carrying out general maintenance and repair work
Basic plumbing, decorating, and DIY tasks
Ensuring health & safety standards are maintained
Conducting routine checks and reporting issues
Maintaining outdoor areas and grounds
Liaising with contractors when required
Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the home

The ideal candidate will:
Have previous maintenance or handyman experience
Be practical, organised, and proactive
Have a good understanding of health & safety
Be able to work independently
Be reliable, flexible, and approachable

An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.

MAINTENANCE PERSON

We are looking for a maintenance person to take a leading role in maintaining our care home on a 40 hour per week full time contract. Duties will include, but not limited to, preventative maintenance, time critical maintenance, compliance checks, painting/decorating, basic plumbing and ad-hoc duties as required by the home. Competitive rate of pay along with 6 weeks paid annual leave plus call outs and overtime paid extra. Experience in a similar role is an advantage but not essential.
