Monday we got back from a lovely weekend away in Ludlow to celebrate Paul’s birthday! 🎉 Our caravan trip was a perfect little break—Mitzi came too...she absolutely loves holidaying!

Saturday was bright, dry weather, so we enjoyed a long walk into Ludlow, mooched around the town and walked back—lots of steps in already! Sunday was all about a special meal for Paul’s birthday 🍽️ It felt so nice to have a pause from the usual routine.

Monday it was back to reality: unloading the caravan, hitting the gym and catching up with all the check-ins and prep for the Midlife Mojo group. The last couple of weeks haven’t been my best—being ill and then being away threw my routine out a bit.

I always tell my clients, especially women over 40, that life happens and it’s okay to step away from your usual routine now and then. The key is: what’s the next thing you can do to get back on track?

For me, it was unpacking, getting some movement in and planning my week. Small steps, consistency and self-compassion make all the difference. 💪

Have you had a break from your routine lately? What’s your next step to get back into it?

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible mums out there. 💐

Today is a chance to celebrate the love, strength and care that mums give every single day — often quietly and often without expecting anything in return.

I feel especially grateful for my own amazing Mum. She is strong, capable, kind and has shaped so much of the person I am today. Her support, wisdom and the way she shows up for the people she loves has always been an inspiration to me. Mum, thank you for everything you do and for being such a steady, loving presence in our family. I’m so lucky to call you my Mum.

I’m also thinking of those who may find today a little tender — those who are missing their mums, those who wish they were a mum and those incredible women who nurture and care for others in so many ways… aunties, grandmothers, mentors, friends, and even devoted fur-baby mums. Your love and impact matter more than you know.

Wishing everyone a beautiful Mother’s Day, however you are spending it today. 💕

A little February reflection and March reset…

February was a full month, even if it didn’t all make it onto social media.

At the beginning of the month I hosted a Deadlift Technique Workshop for my online Midlife Mojo ladies. Watching women over 40 realise how strong they actually are never gets old.

I also had the honour of speaking at a women’s event where I shared my journey in the fitness industry and taught Pilates and resistance training to two wonderful groups of women.

Alongside that, February was busy with my in-person clients, coaching calls with my online ladies, programme writing and all the things that come with running your own business.

There was time for the important things too — catching up with our lovely friends Vicki & Dave (great company and food as always).

March didn’t quite start how I expected though. I picked up a virus which left me feeling pretty drained, so I had to ease off my own gym sessions and focus more on rest and walks.

Sometimes strength is knowing when to push…
and sometimes it’s knowing when to pause.

The good news is I’m feeling much better now.

Sunday we had a lovely family meal at my sister’s to celebrate Mother’s Day — delicious food, great company and a really nice time together with Mum, Dad, Paul and Martin’s family.

And yesterday I was back in the gym… and I loved it. It felt so good to move properly again.

March is shaping up to be a busy one too — International Women’s Day last Sunday, another meet-up with my Midlife Mojo ladies, Paul’s birthday and a little weekend away in the caravan with Mitzi.

Spring always feels like a fresh chapter.

If you’re a woman over 40 and you’d love to feel stronger, healthier and more confident in your body, send me a message with the word **STRONG** 💛

Happy International Women’s Day!

This year’s theme is “Give to Gain.”

Last month I was invited to a women’s event celebrating the day, where I was interviewed about my journey in the fitness industry. I’ve now been sent the video from that interview and thought I’d share a little piece of it today.

In the video I reflect on how my journey started and what has kept me in the industry for nearly 30 years. What began simply as a love of movement, fitness and helping people feel good in their bodies has grown into something that has shaped such a big part of my life.

Want to see the full video from the event? Watch it on YouTube here 👉
www.youtube.com/watch?v=mNsMMN5cvLM

During the event I also had the opportunity to work with two groups of women, taking them through some simple Pilates and resistance exercises, showing how powerful movement and strength can be at every stage of life.

But days like this always make me reflect on something bigger.

Over the years I’ve been incredibly lucky to meet and work with so many inspiring women — women who show up, support each other, lift each other up and keep going even when life feels challenging.

And I’m also very grateful for the wonderful women in my own life — my mum, my sister, and my amazing friends who support, encourage and inspire me every day.

The theme “Give to Gain” really resonates with me.

Because the more we give — encouragement, kindness, support and belief in each other — the more we gain.

Confidence.
Strength.
Connection.
Community.

So today I want to say thank you to all the incredible women in my life and the women I have the privilege to work with.

You inspire me more than you probably realise ❤️

There was a time when fitness felt simple to me.
Move your body. Feel strong. Feel good.

But as the years went on — and as I worked with more and more women — I realised something important:

- It’s not that women don’t want to move
- It’s that their bodies have changed
- Their confidence has changed
- And the spaces they’re offered often don’t feel made for them anymore

I’ve spent almost 30 years in the fitness industry, and what I see again and again — especially with midlife women — is this quiet feeling of “Where do I fit now?”

That’s why I’m so passionate about creating spaces where:
✨ you don’t have to already be confident
✨ you don’t have to be “fit enough”
✨ you don’t have to push or prove anything

Just real women. Showing up as they are.

This Saturday, I’ll be speaking at the Real Women event in Bromsgrove — sharing my journey, my why, and leading a short standing movement session that’s gentle, accessible and designed to help you reconnect with your body… not fight it.

No floor work.
No pressure.
No judgement.

Just movement that feels good.

📍 The Hub, 22 Market Street, Bromsgrove
⏰ 9.30am – 4pm
🎟️ Completely free (lunch & refreshments included)

If you’ve been craving inspiration, connection, or just a reminder that you’re not on your own — this day is for you.
