A Busy Week & A Little Catch-Up!
Hi everyone!
Wow — another busy week! It’s been go, go, go with my 1-2-1 personal training clients, teaching Pilates classes, running my LIFT sessions (our small-group women’s strength training 💪), zoom coaching call and catching up on check-ins with my amazing Midlife Mojo Method ladies and Fitness After 40 ladies plus a bit of admin (because someone’s got to do it, right?! 😅) — and of course, fitting in my own training too!
It’s a busy weekend as well — I’m spending time programming my online clients’ training plans and nutrition, all completely bespoke to their goals and lifestyles. I’ll definitely be heading out for a walk later though, to stretch my legs and break up the sitting! 🚶‍♀️
I haven’t been on here much this last week, but that’s real life sometimes — and I wanted to pop on to say hi and share a little reminder that it’s all about balance.
October is World Menopause Month and this year’s theme is Lifestyle Medicine — something I’m really passionate about. Because how we move, eat, rest and live every day makes such a huge difference to how we feel through midlife and beyond.
I’ll be chatting more about this in my next post — including some simple lifestyle shifts that can boost your energy, mood and overall wellbeing.

This morning didn’t go quite to plan…
My first PT client cancelled, which gave me an unexpected pocket of time — so instead of letting it slip away, I made the most of it and headed to the gym for an upper body session 💪
I even managed to fit in a walk afterwards (a rare treat on my training days!) after seeing my afternoon client.
Tonight I hosted a Zoom coaching call and then taught Pilates — so it was a full day, but one that reminded me how important it is to stay flexible with your time and energy.
Sometimes when plans change, it’s actually a little gift — a chance to do something for you.

Didn’t sleep much last night 😴
And honestly… I didn’t feel like training today.
But I showed up anyway 💪
I adapted my session — lighter, slower, but still moved my body.
Because it’s not about smashing every workout.
It’s about consistency — and keeping that promise to yourself, even on low-energy days.
Tired but feeling better for it!
For all my ladies over 40 — this is your reminder that progress isn’t about perfection.
It’s about showing up, again and again, for you. ❤️

💪 One year at Valhalla Gym!
It’s been 12 months since I joined — and what a great decision it’s been 🙌
Before that, I trained (and still train my clients!) in my garden gym, which is full of free weights and everything I need.
But going to the gym has given me something different…
💥 Time away from work
💥 An afternoon reset
💥 And that precious me time
I’ve definitely gained more strength (in every sense!) this year 💪
A lot of my online clients ask if they need a gym — and the answer is no!

October Focus: Finishing 2025 Strong 💪

Can you believe we’re heading into the last three months of 2025? 😲

September was such a full and busy month — sunshine, celebrations, the launch of my Midlife Mojo Method, and most recently a lovely family weekend in Santander (our last little getaway for a while!).

Now I’m home, feeling refreshed and ready to refocus for this final stretch of the year.

For me, it’s all about:
💪 Getting back into consistent training
🥗 Keeping my nutrition on track
🔥 Staying focused on my long-term goals

Because the truth is — these next 3 months can make a huge difference.

✨ Imagine how you could feel by New Year’s Eve if you started today.
✨ Imagine stepping into 2026 stronger, more energised and confident.
✨ Imagine proving that age isn’t a barrier — it’s your superpower.

For so many women over 40, life can get busy and we put ourselves last. But what if, just for these last 90 days, you made yourself the priority?

Family, Food & Finding Balance Again!

Just back from a wonderful family weekend in Santander, Spain 🇪🇸 — Mum, Dad, my sister and her husband all together.

Friday night kicked off with a gorgeous meal out (the first of several! 😂). Saturday started well with a bus tour of the city before the rain arrived — and wow did it rain ☔! “Rain stopped play” for most of the day, but my sister had booked a fabulous restaurant that evening and the food was worth getting soaked for!

Sunday was much better — a lovely walk along the promenade, watching the surfers, dodging showers in a café, and finishing with another amazing fish restaurant. Paul and I even got some time to ourselves, wandering through the town and grabbing an ice cream 🍦

So yes… plenty of food, laughter and family time — This was our last break for a while (we don’t usually have them so close together, but it’s been a special few weeks with lots to celebrate).

Now I’m home, refreshed, and ready to get back into routine.

A little reminder that balance is everything — enjoy the moments, then get back to what makes you feel amazing.
