Scar therapy isn’t just about how it looks — it’s about how you feel and how you move.

Using gentle techniques combined with the powerful Winback technology, treatments can help release restrictions, improve mobility, and support your body’s natural healing.

If you’re dealing with limited movement, tightness, or an old injury, get in touch. I’m happy to offer a free assessment and help you take the first step toward feeling better — start your treatment when you’re ready.

I had Julia’s Win Back course of 6 as a postnatal treatment and it made such a difference to my recovery. It really helped speed up my healing and allowed me to feel more comfortable in my body much sooner after giving birth. I noticed a real improvement in how my body felt afterwards, especially in terms of easing pain and supporting the healing process.

Julia was also incredibly kind and made the whole experience very relaxing and reassuring. It felt like such a nurturing treatment during the postnatal period. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for support with recovery after having a baby.

After an operation, many people experience constipation. This is often due to the anaesthetic, which may include opiates, and also because people commonly take opioid-based pain relief when they get home. Opiates can harden stools and make them difficult to pass.

To help prevent this, make sure you:
• Take something to keep your stools soft if recommended.
• Start eating and drinking again as soon as you are able.
• Stay well hydrated.
• Use a hot water bottle on your tummy to help relax the abdomen.
• Massage your abdomen in a clockwise direction to encourage bowel movement.

When you sit on the toilet:
• Sit comfortably and relax your pelvic floor.
• Place your feet on a small step so your knees are higher than your hips (this helps the bowel empty more easily).
• Avoid straining, as this is really bad for your pelvic floor.

If you’re struggling, consider seeking help from a professional. Manual therapy techniques, such as gentle lymphatic touch, can sometimes help stimulate the digestive system and get things moving again.

Ending the week feeling incredibly grateful to support so many wonderful postnatal women in clinic. 💛
Many come through the door feeling exhausted, uncomfortable and worried about symptoms such as pelvic pain, heaviness, or painful intimacy after having their baby. These are far more common than people realise, but they can really affect confidence and wellbeing.
One of the most beautiful parts of the sessions is the deep relaxation element. For many new mums, it’s the first time in weeks they’ve had a chance to truly switch off, breathe, and allow their body to rest and recover. Lack of sleep and the demands of caring for a new baby can have a huge impact on mental health, so giving yourself that space is so important.
During the session, we combine that relaxation with gentle, restorative treatments designed to support healing and help restore the pelvic floor.
Watching women leave the clinic feeling more comfortable, more confident, and reassured that their bodies are healing is the most rewarding part of my work.
If you’re struggling with pelvic health symptoms after having a baby, please know you’re not alone — and support is available.
