A little info about what this is for those of you who haven’t heard of it before!
Radio frequency (RF) microneedling is a non-surgical cosmetic procedure that uses radiofrequency energy and microneedles to improve the skin’s texture and tone.
How it works:
A device with fine needles creates micro-injuries in the skin, which stimulates collagen and elastin production. Radiofrequency energy is then delivered into the skin to heat the deeper layers, which further boosts collagen production and tightens the skin.
Benefits:
RF microneedling can improve wrinkles, scars, skin laxity, hyperpigmentation, and cellulite. It can also result in a more even skin tone, smoother skin texture, and a glowing complexion.
Procedure:
The procedure involves a cleanse of the skin and then the procedure itself involves making tiny wounds in the skin. Radiofrequency waves are then released into the wounds. The procedure takes about 30 minutes.
Post treatment SPF protection is always applied.
Who should not get RF microneedling?
People who are pregnant or breast feeding, have an autoimmune disease, have metal implants, have a defibrillator or pacemaker, have cancer, or have a skin disease should not get RF microneedling.
