September 10th is a day we look at those who are vulnerable and in need of a listening ear, death by su***de comes with many unanswered questions and is an internal struggle nobody can ever truly understand.

Meet your Funeral Directors

Simon is the owner of Crescent Funeral Services with 30 years in the Funeral Profession, Simon comes with a wealth of experience and a lifetime of service to the community, holding the highest qualifications currently in Funeral Services.
His passion for excellent service and care speaks volumes through the team at Creacent Funeral Services.

James became a qualified Funeral Director at the age of 18, James’s experience has grown and he continues to share his natural compassion to those in our care.
James is currently working toward the new Diploma in Funeral Service which when achieved will see him holding the highest qualification available at this present time.

Katie the lady Funeral Director of Langport, Katie works mainly out of our Langport and Curry Rivel Funeral Homes, bringing her natural gifts of care and empathy to her role. After a career beginning in corporate Funeral Service, Katie’s experience is well grounded and she also is working toward her professional qualifications.

At Crescent Funeral Services, our Funeral Directors continuously grow and learn from industry changes and take part in regular updates to their education, helping us to provide the best possible knowledge and understanding to those we are entrusted to care for.

Recent Review of our Services 🌙🎩⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Crescent Funeral Services were very helpful, kind and professional when we asked them to help with our Mothers funeral. Simon was understanding and supportive without being too sentimental. He was thorough with the preparations, listened to our wishes and made very helpful suggestions for the whole process. The funeral itself was exactly as we had asked and it felt as if the weight of the situation had been taken off the family allowing us to grieve and get through the day without worry. From the drivers to the pall bearers and the whole team at CFS our experience was a very positive one in difficult circumstances. Thanks also to John Rice-Lewis for the eulogy and to Shed flowers for their beautiful work. All in all an extremely positive experience for our family. We would definitely recommend CFS

Funeral Directors without borders!

We’ve always said, “Have Hearse, will travel!”

Nothing could be more true, we have been requested to care for people all over the country and beyond, it’s truly humbling to be asked to take someone home to their treasured part of the country or to bring someone back to their home in Somerset.

We currently are looking after funerals in Bristol and Berkshire and recently travelled to Cornwall so please do not feel that you can’t hold a funeral in the place you would like, just because somebody has died here in Somerset or beyond.

Our Funeral Directors will help you to say goodbye wherever you choose.

Claudia Soakell Of Langport.

It is our sad honour to announce the Service to celebrate the life of Claudia Soakell, a truly wonderful lady who will be grately missed by her husband and daughters, her family and many friends.

Claudia was a well respected member of the St Mary’s School community in Langport and loved by many.

Andy O’Brien Funeral Service details are announced.

We have the sad honour of announcing the Funeral Service of Andy O’Brien

Andy would be a familiar face to those who attended any Veteran or Military Funerals around Somerset.

Andy was one of the faithful Standard Bearers, having served in the Royal Navy, his Standard the Fisgard Association Standard and many others will honour him as he crosses the bar, just as he honoured so many over the years.
