📣𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗷𝗮𝗿𝗼 (𝘁𝗶𝗿𝘇𝗲𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗱𝗲) 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗪𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁

The national roll-out of tirzepatide (Mounjaro) for the treatment of obesity began on Monday 23rd June.

We understand this may generate a lot of interest, but please be aware that eligibility is extremely limited in the first year due to a nationally set programme. This is a 10-year phased roll-out, with a very small number of patients eligible at each stage.

For 2025, only an incredibly small number of our registered patients currently meet the criteria. To be eligible this year, you must:

✅ Have a BMI of 40 or more
AND
✅ Have four or more of the following conditions:
• Type 2 diabetes
• High blood pressure
• High cholesterol
• Sleep apnoea
• Cardiovascular disease
AND
✅ Be assessed by a clinician as suitable for treatment.

We will be in touch with patients who are eligible for treatment shortly. There is no need to contact us.

📌 If you do not meet all of these criteria, we are not permitted to prescribe Mounjaro at this time.
