Hello and Welcome to My Page 💜

Hi, my name is Lucy, and here I share my work as a Certified Grief Recovery Method Specialist.

For those who are new here, I wanted to reintroduce myself and share a little update about my journey and how my work has grown since starting this page.

I’ve been sharing the Grief Recovery Method (GRM) since 2019 as a way to help people process pain and unresolved grief from any kind of loss.

I offer the 1-to-1 GRM programme both online and in person if you’re local to Glastonbury.

Through supporting many individuals, and from my own personal experience with the death of family and friends, it became very clear to me that how we die impacts how we grieve.

This question led me to explore:
How can we die well? What does that really mean?

These enquiries brought me to Felicity Warner’s Soul Midwifery movement here in the UK. Felicity founded the School of Soul Midwifery, which trains people to support others during their dying time from a non-medical, holistic approach. Every Soul Midwife brings their own unique gifts to this vast and meaningful role.

While completing my training, I was inspired to establish Sacred Death Centre - Glastonbury here in Glastonbury:
A project to support individuals and families with the end-of-life journey and grief support in ways that meet the evolving needs of our community.

Over the last 12 months, the Sacred Death Centre has fully funded two Grief Recovery Method groups in Glastonbury. We recognised that financial barriers often prevent people from accessing the support they need.

I run these groups alongside fellow Grief Recovery Specialist Melissa Taylor.

Together, we also offer talks and workshops to help organisations support their staff through grief and loss, ensuring better emotional wellbeing in the workplace.

We work with HR teams as well, helping to develop compassionate care policies so workplaces can respond thoughtfully to bereavement and major life losses.

I just wanted to share this update so you can see the connection between my work, the Sacred Death Centre, and how we’re bringing the Grief Recovery Method to support grievers in our community.

If you’d like to know more, or if this resonates with you, feel free to get in touch. Thank you for being here. 💜

This month we welcome who inspires us to create grief- wreaths using seasonal foliage to weave beauty, hope and meaning in to our hearts.
💕
Fully biodegradable the wreaths can be thrown in to the sea, placed in a special place- buried on the land or gifted to someone you know.
💕
Please feel free to bring flowers that you love or have meaning to you or a loved one.
💕
We meet monthly- to support one another along the difficult journey of loss, grief and bereavement.
💕
The cafe serves as a comforting reminder that you are not alone in your grief - solace and oeace can be found in shared experiences and a listening ear.
