📣 CHARITY RAFFLE 📣

As part of our Macmillan Coffee Morning - Let's Raise a Cup Together! ☕️ 🍰 we are holding a raffle to raise more funds for this wonderful charity.

Raffle tickets are £1 per strip and can be purchased here at Mountbatten from now right up until the draw on the 26th September.

If you’d like to donate a prize for the raffle, we’d be hugely grateful also.

Let’s see how much we can raise for Macmillan Cancer Support and enjoy a lovely social morning over coffee and cake.

🐻 Just look at this massive teddy bear! 🧸

As part of the fundraising efforts for Macmillan Cancer Support, Alice will be running a ‘Guess the bear’s name’ sweepstake.

It’s £1 a go and you will be able to purchase a name square(s) from tomorrow until the Macmillan Coffee Morning - Let's Raise a Cup Together! ☕️ 🍰 on the 26th September by using the sign up sheet on display in the day room at Mountbatten.

Today we came together to mark VJ Day 80, the 80th anniversary of Victory over Japan Day, which brought the Second World War to its final close.

Residents and staff paused together for a two-minute silence, reflecting on the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of those who served, and remembering the many lives forever changed.

Stories were shared, memories honoured, and gratitude expressed to all who played their part in securing peace.

We will remember them. ❤️🌺

The next piece of wonderful wall art from the Selworthy Sixth Form Enterprise students has been put on display!

A nod to summer and a couple of sports enjoyed by the owners make this awesome piece and once again it was fantastically painted by Sky.

Hopefully displaying this piece will encourage the sun to come back out so we can get back out in the garden and enjoy some vitamin D!

Congratulations to the England Lionesses on retaining the European Cup!

What an inspiration those ladies are to the millions of young football fans in England and around the world.

We are a little late to the party as our social media manager has been on annual leave but we would like to thank all of our staff who made the occasion special for our residents.

Lots of hard work went on to decorate our communal areas and gather residents together to watch the final and celebrate the lionesses success.

Our residents remind us daily of the power of quiet resilience, kind humour, and unconditional care. This Father’s Day, we celebrate their stories, their legacies, and the families who love them.

To all the dads in our community and beyond, thank you for being the foundation of so many cherished memories.

Mountbatten is a 30 bed privately owned and long established nursing home.

Mountbatten provides high standards of nursing care 24 hours a day. There is always a registered nurse on duty, supported by the proprietors Richard and Sally Brice and manager Sarah Collard, who has 24 years nursing experience and a degree in nursing studies.

Mountbatten works closely with GP surgeries and all local health services to ensure best possible care needs are met. We pride ourselves on our person centred approach and care plan for each individual with ongoing review.

Mountbatten also provides a range of complex care needs which the manager is always happy to discuss.
