From local traditions to stunning countryside, Somerset holds a special place in all our hearts.

Our residents will be sharing memories of growing up in the county and enjoying some West Country treats to mark the day!

🇬🇧🌺VE DAY 80 - A Time to Remember🇬🇧🌺

We had a wonderful day yesterday celebrating the 80th Anniversary of Victory in Europe Day with our residents, their families and our staff.

A lovely tea party was had with staff making huge efforts to decorate the day room, dress up in period costumes and play period music.

Thank you to all of our staff who worked so hard to make it a special day. 😊

To all those who made the biggest sacrifice so we can have our freedoms, we thank you and we will always remember you.

We’re getting a few things ready to commemorate VE Day 2025 tomorrow.

Thursday 8th May 2025 will mark the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day, more commonly known as VE Day.

This day commemorates the surrender of German forces to the allied powers at the end of World War II.

Tomorrow our residents will enjoy an afternoon tea, some war time music and watch the VE Day celebrations on the TV including the VE Day concert.

This beautiful weather is starting to bring the colour out in our garden making it a wonderful place to be during the summer months for our residents.

With the weather being so nice today it was rude not to get the drone out and take some nice images of our beautiful 200 year old building and the grounds.

24 Hour First Class Nursing Care

Mountbatten is a 30 bed privately owned and long established nursing home.

Mountbatten provides high standards of nursing care 24 hours a day. There is always a registered nurse on duty, supported by the proprietors Richard and Sally Brice and manager Sarah Collard, who has 24 years nursing experience and a degree in nursing studies.

Mountbatten works closely with GP surgeries and all local health services to ensure best possible care needs are met. We pride ourselves on our person centred approach and care plan for each individual with ongoing review.

Mountbatten also provides a range of complex care needs which the manager is always happy to discuss.
