There is always a registered nurse on duty, supported by the proprietors Richard and Sally Brice.

As we welcome a brand new year, we send our heartfelt wishes to all our wonderful residents, their cherished families, and our dedicated staff. Thank you for being part of our home and for filling it with care, compassion, and community every day.

A huge thank you to the team working today who gave up quality time with the families to make sure our residents still received a ‘special kind of care’ on Christmas Day.

A wonderful Christmas dinner was enjoyed by our residents and staff, expertly cooked by Mark the chef!

Thanks also to Shari, Delia and the care team for making the the day room look beautifully festive!

We have an amazing team who always have the residents best interest at heart, going above and beyond to make a difference.

It was lovely to welcome the Queen's College, Taunton Chamber Choir to Mountbatten on Monday to entertain our residents with some festive carols.

The residents thoroughly enjoyed hearing the beautiful voices of the choir and we hope the students enjoyed their visit.

Today, Richard and Dan were at the RCPA Registered Care Providers Association Ltd annual conference hosted by Taunton Racecourse.

Richard in his role of RCPA Chairperson and Dan as a Mountbatten representative.

As always a very useful and insightful day with colleagues and connections from our sector sharing knowledge and best practice.

Did you know, Richard has been on the RCPA board for 20 years and held the roll of Chair for 15 of those!

December is here which means the festive season has begun!

Our lovely Christmas tree that was beautifully made by the students from Selworthy Sixth Form Enterprise makes its third appearance and our lovely staff are busy making the home feel festive for all!

Just in time for our Christmas Bingo Party and Christmas Jumper Day on the 11th December.

Mountbatten is a 30 bed privately owned and long established nursing home.

Mountbatten provides high standards of nursing care 24 hours a day. There is always a registered nurse on duty, supported by the proprietors Richard and Sally Brice and manager Sarah Collard, who has 24 years nursing experience and a degree in nursing studies.

Mountbatten works closely with GP surgeries and all local health services to ensure best possible care needs are met. We pride ourselves on our person centred approach and care plan for each individual with ongoing review.

Mountbatten also provides a range of complex care needs which the manager is always happy to discuss.
