We can't stress enough how important it is to wear a helmet! 🧠

It is hard to believe but we still see riders on all sorts of trails without a helmet at all.

We are often the first people to attend an incident where a rider has come off and on many occasions truly believe that wearing a helmet has saved the person from serious injury or fatality.

This one probably saved the life of the rider it belonged to and they were able to walk away with just cuts and grazes, instead of life changing injuries.

She drowned with a smile.

No name. No papers. Just a girl, about sixteen, pulled from the Seine sometime in the late 1880s.

There were no signs of violence. No trauma. Just a strange calm on her face, a soft smile that haunted the morgue attendant so deeply that he made a death mask.

Her face was replicated across Europe. Artists called her beautiful. Writers imagined her tragic love stories. She became a romantic mystery — L’Inconnue de la Seine, the unknown woman of the Seine.

Then, in the 1950s, her death mask was chosen as the face of CPR mannequins. You know her today as Resusci Anne.

The most kissed face in history belongs to a dead girl no one ever identified.
