🚴‍♂️ Supporting Terry’s Cycle Challenge! ☕💙

On Friday 29th August, we came together for a special coffee morning to support our incredible Registered Business Manager, Terry Helliker, in his cycling challenge.

Terry cycled an amazing 202.2 miles throughout August, fitting this around his busy work schedule, and has raised a fantastic £340 so far! 👏 Donations came from friends, family, colleagues - and, of course, our coffee morning.

This is the second year Terry has taken on this challenge, which is close to his heart as his dad is currently fighting this disease. 💙 Huge thanks to Team Manager Emma Cherry for designing and creating a bespoke t-shirt for the occasion..

Staff enjoyed a delicious selection of blue-themed cakes, desserts and biscuits as we rallied together for this amazing cause.

Well done, Terry – you’re an inspiration to us all! 🙌

💗 Cream Tea for a Cause! 🍰☕

Our Somerset Care Community came together to enjoy a lovely cream tea in support of Breast Cancer Now – raising both funds and awareness for this important cause. 💕

A huge thank you to everyone who joined in, donated, and helped make the event such a success. Special shout out to our two amazing Team Managers, both named Emma, who even made their own themed t-shirts for the day! 👚👏

It was a heart-warming afternoon filled with smiles, tea, and teamwork. 💞

One of the best things about having good NEIGH-bours is that we get to share their lovely animal visitors! 🐴

The fantastic therapy ponies from A Million Memories Pony Parties and Therapy recently paid a joint visit to both Rowden House - Somerset Care and our Emma Sheppard Centre for dementia day care, which happens to be right next door!

As you can see, our day care visitors loved meeting the ponies and benefitting from some amazing animal therapy ❤️

We had some very special visitors at the Emma Sheppard Day Centre, meet Dazzle (sporting a stylish hat!) and Matilda, two wonderful PAT (Pets As Therapy) dogs. 🐶💛

Their gentle nature and wagging tails brought smiles, comfort, and plenty of cuddles to everyone. It’s amazing how much joy these furry friends bring to our residents! 🥰
