Supporting clients affected by cancer can feel daunting, especially when you want to help, but don’t want to overstep professional boundaries. Supporting Your Client’s Cancer Journey is a comprehensive CPD course designed to give complementary therapists the confidence, clarity, and calm assurance to support clients safely, ethically, and compassionately.

This course is not about turning you into a cancer expert. Instead, it gently guides you through the language, treatments, emotional experiences, and practical considerations that shape a client’s cancer journey, from diagnosis, through treatment, recovery, and, where relevant, end-of-life care.

You’ll gain a clear, therapist-friendly understanding of what cancer is, common treatments and their side effects, and how treatment cycles can affect energy, emotions, and tolerance. You’ll learn how to adapt your therapies appropriately, recognise cautions and contraindications, and communicate with sensitivity while staying firmly within your scope of practice.

A key feature of the course is its focus on supportive therapeutic practice, including breathwork, grounding, light touch, stillness, and the gentle Mian Ai treatment protocol. Equal importance is placed on supporting you as a therapist, with tools for emotional resilience, professional boundaries, and self-care when working with vulnerable clients.

Delivered through accessible online modules, downloadable resources, scripts, planners, and reflective worksheets, this course allows you to learn at your own pace while earning recognised CPD hours.
