We have really been enjoying the lovely sunny weather in the garden. We’ve played volleyball and piggy in the middle whilst also enjoying some lager shandys!

We had a lovely visit from Avril’s grandaughter Lilly who read some of her book called Robodog to a few of our residents.
Lilly had to complete a certain number of chapters to read as part of her school homework, she is a great little reader and our residents really enjoyed her visiting and spending the whole morning with us. Lilly hope enjoyed her time with us too! We look forward to seeing you again soon and keep up with the good work, your reading skills are great! 🤗📚

Massive Happy 83rd Birthday on the 1st of June to our sweet little June. We all hope you had a lovely day with visits from your family. June had a day spoilt with lovely gifts, beautiful flowers and 2 cakes! One from her daughter and one made by a group of our residents 🎂🎈🎉🎁

We all hope you enjoyed the Kings Coronation, we certainly did! 🤴We had so much fun during craft sessions along with our work experiance student Cassie.
We have been busy making bunting, decorating our own crowns and baking some yummy cakes!

Massive 103rd birthday to our sweet little Fran!

On Easter monday the 🐰🍫 Easter Bunny arrived with lots of yummy eggs and lovely cards for each and every resident. Our staff also had a basket of yummy treats to enjoy throughout the day and night shift. Who else enjoyed lots of chocolate over the easter period ? 😆😋

Easter Monday was a fun day filled with lots of joy and laughter.
The day started with an Easter picture bingo, followed by an egg hunt on the ground floor of the house.
Well done to Hazel who found the winning egg and won a yummy lindt Easter egg!
Chris and Alisha found the most eggs hidden - 10 in total!
We then finished off the day by drawing our easter raffle. Well done to all who won a prize and thank you to all who have taken part and those who kindly donated prizes.

We hope you all had a lovely easter!
We were very busy during our craft sessions, making easter headbands, colouring in some eggs and chicks, making daffodil pictures using paper medicine pots for the trumpet.
We also had such a fun session with Frances making wreaths. Don’t they look amazing?

🎉🎈Massive Happy 76th Birthday to our lovely Jean for last Thursday! She was overwhelmed when she saw her cake which was baked by a group of our residents 😊

🎉🎈 Massive happy birthday to our amazing cook Gail yesterday.
We suprised her with some beautifully handmade cards made by a few of our residents and carers during crafts session on Tuesday.

Michael loves butterflies 🦋 So together with the help of Jo, Michael enjoyed making some butterfly posters to display on his bedroom walls.
They researched together on the internet and spoke about the different varieties, their life cycles, what they like to eat, where they can be seen, how big they are and how long they live for.

Michael told us that he enjoyed visiting Cheddar and seeing the butterflies there.
Some of the butterflies he saw even feature in his posters!

FUN FACT : Did you know that the worlds largest butterfly is the Queens Alexandra’s Birdwing?
It lives in rainforests of New Guinea with a wing span of 27cm!.

The UK's largest butterfly is the old world swallowtail. It can be spotted over the Wetlands in Norfolk, with a wing span of around 9.3cm.

Michael's favourite butterfly is the Peacock. What’s your favourite ? 🦋
