Sadly, due to the terrible weather forecast for this weekend, we’ve had to make the very difficult decision to cancel our much-anticipated summer fete.

☕️ 🍰 What better way to celebrate Afternoon Tea Week than with a good brew, a slice of cake (or two!), and plenty of chatter around the table? Our residents enjoyed a feast fit for royalty, complete with homemade scones, dainty sandwiches, and a few cheeky refills of tea. 🫖✨

The star of the show was our very own Marion, who slipped straight back into her role as “mum of the tea table,” pouring cups with love and making sure no one’s teacup went empty. 💜 Watching her in action reminded us that some traditions never fade – they just get sweeter with time.

Thank you to our wonderful team for turning teatime into a special occasion and to our residents for filling the room with laughter and that unmistakable clink of teacups. 🌸

We feel truly lucky to have so many beautiful garden centres right on our doorstep! This week, we enjoyed a delicious lunch at Blackdown Garden Centre, part of The Blue Diamond Group and a delightful afternoon tea at Monkton Elm Garden Centre

🦅 What a wonderful day we had yesterday at our home in , as we welcomed the amazing Owl Adventures and their stunning birds of prey! 🦉

Residents and staff had the chance to get up close with these magnificent creatures — even wearing the handler’s glove to hold them! 🧤 Faya, their brilliant handler, shared fascinating facts and stories that made the experience even more special.

It was a heartwarming and memorable afternoon for everyone involved 🥰

Today, we’re celebrating the many beautiful friendships that make our care home such a special place to live and work.

From residents who’ve become like lifelong friends, to the warm bonds shared between staff and residents, families and our management team — every connection adds something unique to our home.

Whether it’s sharing stories over a cuppa, enjoying activities side by side, or simply offering a listening ear, these friendships bring comfort, joy, and a true sense of belonging.

Last week, we had the joy of welcoming children from Holy Trinity Primary Taunton for a delightful Teddy Bears’ Picnic! 🧸🧺

Although the sunshine took a little break, we brought the fun indoors with a cosy story time. Our lovely residents, Ann and Marion, read beautifully to the children while they tucked into their picnic treats.

These special intergenerational moments bring so many benefits — from boosting wellbeing and easing anxiety, to encouraging movement and sparking smiles all around. 💛
