Join Lancaster House at Longrun Meadow parkrun!

On Saturday 7 February 2026, we’ll be taking part in the Longrun Meadow parkrun to raise money for Love Musgrove, supporting vital care at our local hospital.

All students are encouraged to run or walk the 5km with friends, family, and staff - it’s all about taking part and having fun!

📍 Meet at Longrun Barn: 8:45am | Start: 9:00am

Buckingham’s Cutest Pet Competition is here! 🐾

We're raising money for Love Musgrove and want to see your adorable pets!

✨ How to Enter
• £2 entry fee via the Shop section on Arbor
• Email a photo of your pet + the name of the student it belongs to: astep@castle.bep.ac
• Deadline: Friday 30th January at 3:20pm

👀 Who’s Judging?
Our fabulous tutor group 8R2 will choose which pet is crowned the cutest! If we receive lots of entries, we’ll introduce extra fun categories so more pets can shine.

🏆 Prizes
Winners will receive a hand‑drawn or painted portrait of their pet, created by talented students in the tutor group.

Make 2026 a Year of Giving Back! As we step into 2026, let’s make it a year to remember by giving back to our community. Volunteering your time with your local hospital charity is a wonderful way to make a real difference to the lives of patients, families, and staff. 🫶

As a volunteer there are many ways to get involved from collecting money at our events, helping with bucket collections at supermarkets, placing collection tins in the community or putting up event posters.

🌟Superstar Saturday – Fen Lewen 🌟

Fen truly is a fundraising superstar with a history of taking on bold challenges – from wingwalking and abseiling to this remarkable long-term commitment. After spending 11 weeks in hospital during the Covid pandemic, Fen emerged physically and mentally fragile but determined to give something back to the NHS that supported her at her lowest point.

She set herself the incredible challenge of volunteering 1,848 hours – the same number of hours she spent in hospital. As a result of her volunteering challenge, Fen has raised an amazing £2,497.50 for the Beacon Centre at Musgrove Park Hospital, helping fund vital Paxman Dual Scalp Cooling machines that offer cancer patients comfort and confidence during treatment.

An inspiring story of resilience, gratitude and unstoppable energy – well done, Fen 💚👏

Thank You Thursday 💚 Quest Duo

A huge thank you to Emmie and Tash, who have recently completed an incredible challenge in memory of a loved one lost to pancreatic cancer.

Together they conquered an impressive 100km challenge:
🏃‍♀️ 10km run
🚴‍♀️ 20km cycle
🚶‍♀️ 30km walk
🚴‍♀️ 40km cycle

Their dedication and determination have resulted in an amazing £1,814.60 raised for The Beacon Centre, helping us continue to support those who need us most.

And if that wasn’t enough… they’re already planning their next challenge! 🙌
