🌟 Super Star Saturday 🌟

Last week, we had the pleasure of attending the Swimathon awards evening, where we were honoured to accept an incredible donation of £5,818.82 for the Somerset Neonatal Intensive Care Unit SNICU! 💚

Rae, our Community & Events Fundraiser, attended alongside Asha, Ward Manager for SNICU, and it was a fantastic evening all around. We really enjoyed meeting everyone and learning more about the wonderful community work led by Soroptimist International Taunton, Round Table 140 & The Taunton 41 Club🙌

A huge thank you to everyone involved and all the amazing swimmers who raised such a FANTASTIC amount!! ✨

This incredible piece of equipment will make a real difference, helping staff provide quicker and more comfortable care for our younger patients, making procedures less stressful for patients and their families. 🫶

We are thrilled to announce the completion of the new children’s playground located outside of the Children’s Outpatient department!

This project would not have been possible without the generous donations from the The Marion Evered Trust and Hippychick. Their incredible continued support of our Children’s Ward has made a huge impact on keeping our smaller patients as happy and healthy as they can be whilst visiting our hospital. A thank you doesn’t seem enough 💚

We’ve already seen the positive impact distraction techniques have for our young patients, and the new playground will help them continue to feel like children during what can be a scary time for them.

Spaces are still available for our Charity Golf Day 2026! ⛳

Please come and join us on Friday 15th May at Cricket St Thomas Golf Club for a day of competition, comradery, and community, to help up raise funds for our patients across Somerset. 💚

There will be food and refreshments on the day, including our Halfway House stocked with Thatchers Gold, M&S Seville Orange G&T, and The Taunton Cider Co Berry Cider, all generously donated by respective companies! 🥂

Our ever popular Nearest the Pin and Longest Drive individual competitions will be taking place on the day, and prizes for the top three teams scoring teams our on the course! 🏆
