Happy International Women's day! 💚

We want celebrate this wonderful day by thanking all of the incredibly inspiring women who we work with on a day to day basis.

To those who work for the Fundraising team, the NHS or who support us every day by fundraising, donating or volunteering your precious time. We want to say thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.

The success of women should be celebrated everyday, but today is extra special.

On Sunday 3rd May 2026, Millie Bailey and some friends will be taking on a 26.2 mile (42km) marathon walk in a single day to raise money for the Beacon Centre at Musgrove Park Hospital.

Millie says: "This cause is very close to my heart, as my Dad is currently receiving his cancer treatment at the Beacon Centre. The care, support and compassion shown to him — and to so many others — has been incredible, and this is my small way of giving something back....I’ll be challenging myself physically, but it’s nothing compared to what so many people face every day." 💚

Spaces are still available for the Let's Dance 2026 Charity Event on Sunday 8th March! 💚💃

Somerset Ballroom Dance and Yo Salsa - Latin Dance Classes are joining forces to host a dance afternoon as part of this year's nationwide Let's Dance campaign.

So get your dancing shoes on for some toe-tapping fun, all to get the nation dancing and raise funds for the Eliot Ward (our dementia ward) at Musgrove Park Hospital.

All abilities welcome for a few hours to learn a new dance, refresh some old skills, or just dance your heart out!

This week’s goes to our amazing volunteer, Maggie who coordinates our jewellery project. We are incredibly grateful for her continued dedication and hard work in raising funds for our Oncology services across Somerset.

We’d also like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has kindly donated jewellery. Your generosity is helping to make a real difference for our patients.

If you have any unwanted or broken jewellery or watches you’d like to donate, we would be so grateful. Every item directly helps support patients receiving care through our Oncology services.

Say hello to Petal, our adorable new baby guinea pig and the newest member of the Children’s Ward team!

Petal may be small, but she’s already making a big impact - bringing smiles, comfort and a wonderful distraction for children during their time in hospital.

We think she’s super cute… do you? 🐾✨

Because of you…our children can feel a little more at home in hospital. 💚

We’re delighted to share that brand new over-the-bed tables have now been funded for our Children’s Ward thanks to your incredible support!

These tables make such a difference to our young patients - giving them a comfortable space to:

🎨 Do arts and crafts
🍽️ Enjoy their meals
🎮 Play games and stay entertained

When a child is in hospital, the smallest comforts can mean the world. Because of your generosity, we’re able to make their stay that little bit easier and brighter.

What a day at Taunton Half Marathon! 💚🏅

A HUGE shout out to these amazing runners for their dedication and for raising money for Love Musgrove.

From running the entire course in pads to taking on 13.1 miles wearing butterfly wings - your effort, energy and spirit were simply incredible! 🦋👏

We are so grateful for the time, training and passion you’ve poured into supporting patients and families at Musgrove Park Hospital. You should be so proud of yourselves - we certainly are!
