Today's goes to Ryan Church, who took part in an awesome bodybuilding competition in loving memory of his mum, Julie ❤️

In honour of her, and to give back to the amazing team who cared for her here at Musgrove, Ryan has raised an incredible £1,573.75! 🙌

Not only that - he smashed it on stage, finishing 3rd place!🥉

What an amazing way to honour his mum’s memory - we’re sure she was looking down on you with pride, Ryan 💪✨

Ryan says: “Their support meant everything to us during one of the hardest times in our lives, and this is my way of saying thank you and helping them continue their vital work for other families in need.” 💚

World Prematurity Day 💜👶🏻

Today, on World Prematurity Day, we’re shining a light on the incredible work of Musgrove Park Hospital’s Somerset Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (SNICU) - a specialised ward where tiny fighters receive wonderful care from an extraordinary team.

Back in April 2021, Mark and Millie welcomed their twins, Ava & Teddy, into the world, born prematurely at just 30 weeks. Due to their early arrival, both babies spent their first six weeks in SNICU.

Millie shared:
“The care they received from each and every member of the team was truly amazing, and this unit will now always hold a very special place in our family’s heart.” 💚

Stories like Ava and Teddy’s remind us just how vital SNICU is for families across Somerset and beyond.

A huge thank you to Katie Reed, who organised a fantastic community fundraising event in North Newton, Bridgwater. 💚

The whole village came together - with the church, pub, village hall, cricket club, and residents all joining in to create an amazing Scarecrow Trail in support of the Somerset Neurological Rehabilitation Centre (SNRC).

This wonderful initiative was organised as a heartfelt thank you to Dean Barton for all the incredible care and continued support provided to Katie's Uncle, Matt, following his stroke.

Thanks to everyone’s efforts, an incredible £200 was raised for SNRC! 👏
