Why choose a registered care provider? Storm Chandra highlights the lengths that we go through to ensure that our customers still receive their care.

Of course, some of our care team were unable to leave their homes safely due to flooding, but that did not mean that we compromised on our care provision. All our supervisors went out on care throughout the day, and three of our management team, some from as early as 7am. Our Care Manager, Dinah, even came in on her day off to support the team.

Everyone faced traffic yesterday, but one carer battled the traffic for several hours from Taunton to Wellington through the traffic, while others waited patiently on the A38 to support customers.

Below is our lovely Care Expert Emma, who shared these photos of her adventurous care run yesterday after the storm 🌨🌨

She safely left her car behind, donned her coat, wellies and waders, and made the very wet and muddy trek to look after one of our customers, always with a smile on her face - the definition of dedication! Thank you so much again Emma - you are a superstar 💙

Thank you to our wonderful team for your support today with covering care visits whilst battling floods, traffic and road closures! 💙

We had team members grabbing their coats and wellies to walk to isolated customers through flooded lanes, with others waiting in hours of traffic to ensure that care was completed.

We really appreciate you all! The kindness and dedication you show each and every day is truly humbling, and the teamwork that shines on hectic days like today is incredible. You are all amazing 🤩

Discharge to assess (D2A) is an NHS model where people leave hospital as soon as they are medically stable, then have their ongoing care needs assessed at home.

Bluebird Care work in partnership with the NHS - meeting patients as soon as they return home. We create a bespoke plan to get them back to living as independently as possible, whilst still being supported.

We realise that nail trimming can be difficult and some services are not easily accessible, but our friendly team can trim your fingernails and toenails from the comfort of your own home.
