Last Saturday, we gathered at Wimbleball Lake in Exmoor with a small group of people who gave themselves something rare: a full day away from the noise.

Karen and Angie led the day through guided practice, time outdoors, and the kind of shared space that's hard to put into words but easy to feel.

There's something about being in a group of people all choosing to slow down together.

Thank you to everyone who came and trusted us with your day. It was a privilege to hold that space for you. 🌿

One of the most common things we hear from mindfulness teachers is that the work can feel isolating.

You're holding space for other people, often on your own, without much support around you.

The CMR pathway was designed with that in mind. Community isn't a bonus feature, it's woven into how the training works from the start.

Peer support, shared practice, and a network of teachers who are building something alongside you.

It's been a few years since we ran an in-person retreat, and there's something about getting a small group of people together in a beautiful place — away from screens, away from the to-do list — that no online session can replicate.

Wimbleball Lake is the kind of setting that does half the work for you. We'll bring the practices, the space, and the silence. You just have to bring yourself.

A full day of guided mindfulness and compassion practice, time outdoors, and shared lunch. It's going to be a small group, just 10 of us!

If you've been thinking about it, there are still a couple of spots left.

The rise of AI will not replace mindfulness teachers.

There’s been a lot of fear around AI in the mindfulness world and we understand why.

When something new arrives so quickly, it can feel uncomfortable. Especially in a field rooted in human presence, care and connection.

But we don’t believe AI replaces the role of a mindfulness teacher. If anything, it may make that role even more important.

Digital tools, apps and AI personalised experiences can help more people discover mindfulness for the first time. That matters.

More access is a good thing.

Because for many people, that first step is just the beginning.

What often follows is the need for something deeper.

Not just mindfulness, but compassion too.

And that is where human teaching remains so important.

As life becomes more digital, more fast-paced and more screen-based, people will continue to seek spaces where they can be met with warmth, understanding and real connection.

Technology may open the door but human presence is what helps people go deeper.

We believe mindfulness teachers still have a vital role to play in that future 💙

No time for 8 weeks? 💙

If you’ve ever planned an 8-week programme and watched diaries shift halfway through, you’re not alone.

Holidays, work demands, family life… it can be genuinely hard to hold the continuity.

In this reel, Karen shares why the 4-week Compassionate Mindful Resilience (CMR) programme can be a supportive option for teachers who want something realistic, structured, and compassion-led.

A shorter run can make it easier to say yes, keep momentum, and expand what you can offer.

Teach with nervous system safety.

In the video, Karen speaks about why longer practices, like a 30-minute body scan, can be too much for some participants with trauma histories.

When attention turns inward for a long time, protective patterns that once helped someone cope can resurface, and the practice can feel overwhelming.

Trauma-informed teaching can look like:

- Shorter practices, built gradually
- Clear permission to open eyes, move, pause, or stop
- Grounding with external anchors
- Invitational language that keeps choice with the participant
