What an honour for Camelot House and Lodge to be chosen by retired yachtsman Craig Fox-Johnson (his wife Jenny is a resident) as the venue for a donation of specialist kit and clothing to the charity , which provides access to sailing programmes for those living with disability.

Craig and Jenny covered many nautical miles together, including the lengthy voyage down the French canal network to the Mediterranean, and they were keen to ensure the kit they used during their yachting days should benefit others now they no longer use it themselves!

Our residents really enjoyed making some bracelets either for themselves or as a gift for a loved one (including sheep) 💝

This week we celebrated the Chinese new year, the year of the horse by making our own mini rocking horses, reading our fortunes 🥠 and having Chinese food lunch. Then pancake day, practicing our flipping skills before enjoying some yummy pancakes 🥞 💛

Love is in the air 💕 We hope you all had a lovely valentines our residents were busy making love bugs and love potions 🧪 🫧 and heart chains to decorate our love shack ❤️

Yesterday we celebrated Fat Thursday, a polish tradition of eating sweet foods before the start of lent. Our marvellous Maggie enjoyed handing out doughnuts to all the residents and staff 🍩🤎

Pick a pet 🐾 Today residents adopted their own animals from guinea pigs to giraffes there was a furry friend for everyone. Afterwards we filled out an official adoption certificate including questions about our animal and of course picking a name 🐻🐶🐨🐰🦁🐯
