Set in a quiet residential area of Taunton, we have a strong emphasis on encouraging freedom of choice. Our extensively trained team of care professionals will work with you to create a care plan tailored to your individual requirements. Your friends and family are welcome to visit at any time, with drinks and snacks available on request. Our dedicated activities team ensure that there is always something interesting happening at Oake Meadows. You will often find live music and demonstrations in our lounges, as well as a variety of classic movies at our in-house cinema. You can enjoy some pampering in our hair salon, use of our sensory room, or some quiet time in one of our many smaller lounges. Activities can be tailored to your own interests and abilities, and we often organise day trips to the local area. Our talented team of kitchen staff provide three delicious nutritious meals per day, using fresh seasonal ingredients. Friends and family are welcome to join you for a meal, and all dietary requirements are catered for. Please call us on 01823 475158 to arrange a visit, or to discuss any aspect of elderly care.

📚 World Book Day at Oake Meadows! 📚

From newspapers to well-loved books, today has been all about enjoying the magic of reading together. Whether it’s catching up on the latest headlines or getting lost in a good story, reading is a wonderful way to spark conversation, memories and imagination.

A special mention goes to David, whose favourite book is one written by his wife, Lena. Her book shares the story of her life — from being a city girl in Sweden to building a life on a farm with David. He is incredibly proud of her and always loves sharing her story with others.

It’s a beautiful reminder that some of the most special stories are the ones we’ve lived ourselves. ❤️📖✨

Harry has led our kitchen to achieve a fantastic ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5-star EHO rating – an incredible accomplishment that reflects his dedication, organisation, and commitment to excellence. Not only does he maintain the highest standards, but he also creates delicious, home-cooked meals that our residents absolutely love!

What makes this even more impressive is that Harry balances all of this while working hard on his apprenticeship. His work ethic, passion, and positive attitude never go unnoticed.
