Our extensively trained team of care professionals will work with you to create a care plan tailored to your individual requirements. Your friends and family are welcome to visit at any time, with drinks and snacks available on request. Our dedicated activities team ensure that there is always something interesting happening at Oake Meadows. You will often find live music and demonstrations in our lounges, as well as a variety of classic movies at our in-house cinema. You can enjoy some pampering in our hair salon, use of our sensory room, or some quiet time in one of our many smaller lounges. Activities can be tailored to your own interests and abilities, and we often organise day trips to the local area. Our talented team of kitchen staff provide three delicious nutritious meals per day, using fresh seasonal ingredients. 🎄✨ It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! ✨🎄
Today we made a wonderful start on putting up our Christmas trees, with lots of help from our lovely residents.
There was festive music, plenty of laughter, and some very creative decorating skills on display! It’s always such a joy to see everyone getting into the Christmas spirit together. ❤️

We are delighted to share that Vickie and Hannah from the activities team will be competing on an episode of the much-loved programme Bargain Hunt - airing in spring 2026👩🏻⚖️
The pair were inspired to apply for the show by our residents, who watch the show daily.
There is a great sense of excitement throughout Oake Meadows already at the thought of seeing their familiar faces on our screens✨

Today we celebrate the sweetest girl around — Daisy the dog! 💛
She brings joy, comfort, and endless smiles to all the residents here at Oake Meadows every single day. Whether she’s offering a gentle nuzzle, wagging her tail through the halls, or just being her adorable self, Daisy makes this place feel a little brighter.

🇬🇧 Remembrance Day at Oake Meadows 🇬🇧
This afternoon residents enjoyed a beautiful wartime sing-along and moving poem readings to mark Armistice Day. It was a touching tribute to those who served and sacrificed, filled with music, memories, and reflection.
A heartfelt thank you to Michael and Sylvia for their wonderful poem readings — you truly captured the spirit of remembrance. ❤️

Today, our residents and staff came together to observe the two minutes’ silence for Remembrance Day.
We paused to reflect, remember, and honour the brave men and women who have served and sacrificed for our freedom. 🌺

🍼💖 Baby Albie came in for cuddles recently!
Our residents were absolutely delighted to spend some time with little Albie — there were smiles, laughter, and lots of gentle cuddles all around. 👶🤗
Intergenerational moments like these are so special. They help bring joy, comfort, and a sense of connection to our residents, while little ones like Albie grow up surrounded by love, stories, and wisdom from older generations. 🌸
It’s beautiful to see how these visits brighten everyone’s day — a true reminder that age is just a number when it comes to kindness and connection. 💕
