We strive to find out what is important to you. By understanding this, we aim to carefully match a Care Professional to each client and it is always a great comfort to an older person to know exactly who is coming and exactly when their Care Professional will arrive. Our Care Professionals are able to provide a range of services which can include companionship, home help such as shopping and cleaning, medication reminders, meal preparation, local transportation to social events or appointments, respite care and a full range of personal care services. Home Instead provides a specialist service for people who have Alzheimer's disease or dementia. Service can be provided from as little as a couple of hours a week up to 24 hours a day. The strength of Home Instead lies with our unique group of Care Professionals. We are particularly proud of the standard of service they provide and the dedication and commitment shown to our clients. Home Instead clients come to us in many ways. Some people come to us themselves; others are introduced by their children or relatives and some clients are referred to us by Social Services and the NHS. Regardless of how you come to Home Instead, it is our goal to provide the same exceptional level of care. 🌟 Celebrating Paul! 🌟
Today we’re recognising someone truly special — our very own Paul — for being nothing short of amazing. His dedication goes far beyond what anyone could ask for, and he gives so much of his own time to help others without ever expecting anything in return.
Whether it’s stepping up when we need an extra hand, offering support with a smile, or being the first to volunteer when something needs doing, Paul is always there. And let’s not forget one of his biggest superpowers… he’s our unofficial official car fixer! 🚗🔧 If something has wheels and a problem, Paul is already on his way with tools in hand and a can-do attitude.
We’re incredibly grateful for everything he does — not just for the team, but for the people around him. Recognition like this couldn’t be more deserved.

🎅 Be A Santa 2025 — Bringing Joy to Our Community

It’s that time of year again when we at Home Instead Taunton and West Somerset launch our annual Christmas gift-giving campaign, Be A Santa 2025. This heartfelt initiative brings joy to older members of our community—especially those who may not receive a gift during the festive season or may be spending Christmas away from family and friends.

Through Be A Santa, we collect gifts from our wonderful local community and distribute them to older people who could use a little extra cheer. Last year, thanks to your generosity, we supported Wellsprings Community Church, ARC (Taunton Association for the Homeless), and Diversity Voice UK. This year, we’re hoping to reach even more individuals and share even more smiles.
