This week we had our first homegrown tomato harvest! We also had a lovely afternoon playing a team work game with Tops Day Nurseries: Taunton Musgrove when they visited us, and have been playing some fun word games. We also played some games of table football to celebrate the women's Euros and enjoyed a good old sing along when the wonderful Joe came to sing to us

Who needs Glastonbury when you can have 'St.Georgesbury'? We had annual festival morning last week, complete with our own tie dye tsh*ts and glow sticks. We thoroughly enjoyed singing along and dancing to songs from the brilliant Danny Jukebox! And no rain or festival mud in sight! ☀️🎵

We've had a very busy few weeks here at St.Georges! As well as doing some baking and enjoying time in the garden, we celebrated D-Day by having a sing-a-long with singer Andy and writing a D-Day themed poem all together. We then celebrated the Kings birthday by having an afternoon cream tea and entertainment from Chris Clarke. We also had some fun and games for Royal Ascot and made some wonderful fascinators and hats, finishing off the day with a picnic tea and a nice glass of pimms!

Recognising staff efforts and achievements to the care we provide is important part of our ethos.
This month Lorraine received the most nominations from her colleagues and residents for always being considerate,helpful and going above and beyond her role as our administrator.
Lorraine has been employed with us for 3 years and is a valuable member of the SG team and loves to be prepared for anything!

Yesterday for VE Day we were joined by the brilliant Kingston St.Mary Handbell Ringers. We all joined in with a fantastic rendition of 'We'll meet again' 🎵 followed by getting ice creams from the ice cream van and a lovely afternoon tea all together in the dining room 🇬🇧 🍰 🍦

We've been enjoying the sunshine here at St.Georges and have spent some quality time together in our garden. We've also been treated to a wonderful visit from Bunny Basket Somerset, who brought in some fluffy friends to see us! 🐰

We hope all of our friends and families had a lovely Easter! At St.Georges we've been doing some Easter crafts, we had lots of fun joining in an Easter egg hunt and we all enjoyed a lovely roast dinner all together on Sunday 🥚🐣

We have celebrated Thai New Year and Sri Lankan New Year recently- our residents have really enjoyed learning all about all the traditions and have got involved with all of the fun and games!
