Last week we celebrated a very special ladies 100th birthday! We had a mesmerising visit from magician The Magic of Graham Prigg and were serenaded by brilliant trumpet player Louis for the occasion 🎺 We've also been enjoying doing some exercise and having some quieter time doing arts and crafts. Today we had a good old boogie with singer Danny Jukebox! 🎶

What a wonderful Christmas we've had! 🎄we had a festive sing-a-long when Jayani's children came to sing carols with us- this was such a special afternoon with everyone saying how much they enjoyed themselves. On Christmas Eve we welcomed the nursery to see us and we had a surprise visit from Father Christmas himself! 🎅 Everyone was in good spirits again on Christmas Day when some of us had a lovely Christmas dinner all together in the dining room, complete with our own homemade table decorations! 🎁

We've had a festive few weeks! We've had a lovely time doing lots of Christmas crafts, making mince pies and putting marzipan on our homemade Christmas cakes. We've also had a brilliant sing-a-long with Chris Clarke, danced to our silent disco, had a wonderful carol service from members of St.Georges Church and had visits from the Beavers and Queens College carol singing. We also made some Christmas wreaths! Thank you to everyone who has come to visit us 🎄

Yesterday some of our staff & residents braved the rain for a tour of the Taunton Christmas lights. We then warmed up with a drink at the Hideout. They’ve been so supportive of our fundraising events this year it was nice to return the support for another local business. Not the best weather but it certainly didn’t spoil our plans.

We've had a lovely few weeks- we've celebrated Halloween with a party with Tops Day Nurseries: Taunton Musgrove, had a wonderful visit from Sharandys Birds of Prey and were thoroughly entertained by magician The Magic of Graham Prigg. We've also been busy doing arts and crafts for bonfire night, topping up our homemade Christmas cakes and honouring Remembrance day

Yesterday we had a fantastic visit from John from South West Heritage Trust talking about 'food and farming'. We've also had some fun games recently and made the most of the last of the summer by playing games in the courtyard. We also hosted an afternoon tea for Breast Cancer Now and enjoyed a visit from the brilliant Bunny Basket Somerset 🐰
