We are a not-for-profit organisation with over 30 years experience providing care to people across the South West, supporting them to live the life they choose. If you are looking to start a new career in care, to continue with your dedicated work to exceed the expectations of customers or looking to make the next step to a supervisory or managerial role, we would love to hear from you. Our dedicated workforce provides essential services to people in their own homes, in our residential and nursing homes and for people with learning disabilities. We have the pleasure of welcoming a young Duke of Edinburgh student into Fletcher House - Somerset Care, our care home in Wells, helping them work towards achieving their award. 🌟

This week’s session was extra special as they shared a wonderful discussion about engineering with our resident, Aubrey, and Activities Coordinator, Spencer. Aubrey, with his vast knowledge, proudly showed the student a combustion engine he had built, while the student introduced 3D printing to Aubrey. 🌱💡

It was truly magical to witness a connection between Aubrey (86) and the student, as they both shared their passion for engineering and design. 🛠️✨ Together, they’re embarking on a journey of learning and creation, with plans for a joint presentation at the end of the course, and we couldn’t be prouder of this inspiring collaboration between generations! 🙌
