As a Registered Yoga Teacher and a BASI trained Pilates Teacher, I am dedicated to guiding individuals towards greater health and wellbeing through the transfomative power of Pilates and yoga. My mission is to help each client unlock their full potential and experience the myriad benefits of a consistent Pilates and yoga practice. Having also worked as a qualified Personal Trainer, I have had the

privilege of working with some of the biggest names in the corporate world such as Coca-Cola and ExxonMobil, delivering comprehensive employee health and wellbeing programmes. These experiences have further fueled my passion for empowering individuals to prioritise their physical and mental health. Did you know that Pilates was originally called Contrology?

Developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century, Contrology was his method for achieving complete coordination of body, mind, and spirit. It’s the foundation of the Pilates method we know today!

In his book Return to Life Through Contrology, Pilates outlined 34 original mat-based exercises designed to transform the body and mind.

As he wrote: "Contrology develops the body uniformly, corrects wrong postures, restores physical vitality, invigorates the mind, and elevates the spirit." – Joseph Pilates

OmCore is evolving → CORE by Laura

Over the past few years, my classes and 1:1 sessions have naturally evolved with a stronger focus on Pilates, core strength, and movement that supports your whole body from the inside out.

With the recent launch of my dedicated Pilates studio and growing demand for personalised 1:1 sessions, now feels like the perfect time for a fresh new chapter. OmCore is becoming CORE by Laura.

It’s still me, offering the same high quality, expert-led movement, just with a name that better reflects the heart of my work today.

While Pilates is the foundation of what I offer, I continue to teach yoga with a gentle blend of Pilates principles woven in to enhance strength, control, and mindful movement.

Thank you for being part of this journey. I’m grateful to everyone who has supported me along the way, and to those just joining in. I’d love to hear what you think of the new name. 💛

Swapped Pilates for climbing today - my second time back on the wall after a 10+ year break!

Fun fact: Climbing was the first movement I ever taught 20 years ago! I spent time as a certified Climbing Instructor, helping disadvantaged children to gain confidence through the sport.

There’s nothing like the joy of seeing a new client self-correct in class! 🤩 As a Pilates teacher, it’s incredibly rewarding to watch clients not only understand the purpose of an exercise but also build the body awareness and strength to control their movements. Last week, I couldn’t help but cheer on my beginner client as she shifted from her usual lumbar dominance and found her thoracic extension during Back Extension!
