Are you an experienced live-in carer looking to make a real difference?

At Home Instead Tavistock and Tamar Valley, we’re expanding our Outstanding-rated team and seeking compassionate, reliable Live-in Care Professionals who are passionate about supporting older people to live well in the comfort of their own homes.

We currently have two live-in placements available as part of a wider, supportive care team.

💚What we’re looking for:
• Proven experience in home or community care, assisted living, or long-term care
• A genuine commitment to enhancing quality of life
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of dementia care strategies
• Ability to work independently with a person-centred approach
• A compassionate, patient and adaptable demeanour
• Full UK driving licence & own car to take clients out

🗓 Rota: Flexible and negotiable (e.g., 3 weeks on / 1 week off)

💚Your role will include:
• Supporting with personal care and daily activities
• Medication prompts/administration
• Preparing nutritious meals
• Encouraging safe mobility and promoting independence
• Supporting clients with dementia or memory care needs
• Maintaining a clean, safe living environment
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Monitoring wellbeing - appetite, mobility, mood, behaviour, general health - and reporting any changes
• Working collaboratively with healthcare professionals to transform lives through dedicated, respectful support.
