A huge step for animal physiotherapists in Sweden 🇸🇪 If only we can get it here! Sadly the title of animal physiotherapist is not protected in the UK so anyone can call themselves an animal/vet/equine/canine physiotherapist regardless of training and qualifications. However, physiotherapist is a protected title and by law you can only call yourself one if you have the appropriate degree/training. But sadly our animals do not have the same protection 😔 So if you are using an animal physio please ensure they have appropriate qualifications. ACPAT Physiotherapists are all human qualified physios with additional postgraduate training in veterinary physiotherapy so undergo a minimum of 5 years physio specific training.

🧘🏼‍♀️🤸🏽‍♂️ 🧘🏻🤸🏽‍♂️ Pilates is back on tomorrow at Mary Tavy Coronation hall 9.45-10.45am.
All welcome as always. No class again next week though due to the hall being used as a polling station. Whitchurch village hall class (Monday 5.45-6.45pm) is also back on as normal.
Both classes are suitable for all ages and ability levels. No booking is required - pay as you go £8 per class. I’m a Chartered Physiotherapist so can give advice and exercise modifications for any injuries or specific health conditions/requirements. The classes aim to improve muscle strength and endurance, joint mobility (with an emphasis on spinal mobility), balance and flexibility in a relaxed environment. New people are always welcome 😊
