A huge step for animal physiotherapists in Sweden 🇸🇪 If only we can get it here! Sadly the title of animal physiotherapist is not protected in the UK so anyone can call themselves an animal/vet/equine/canine physiotherapist regardless of training and qualifications. However, physiotherapist is a protected title and by law you can only call yourself one if you have the appropriate degree/training. But sadly our animals do not have the same protection 😔 So if you are using an animal physio please ensure they have appropriate qualifications. ACPAT Physiotherapists are all human qualified physios with additional postgraduate training in veterinary physiotherapy so undergo a minimum of 5 years physio specific training.
ACPAT - The Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy

Fabulous weekend of learning and socialising at our ACPAT - The Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy seminar. I feel privileged and proud to be a committee member of such a progressive organisation. This year we supported the National Foundation for Retired Service Animals - NFRSA which are a fabulous charity who support retired service dogs and horses 🐶🐴

I will be away in Hong Kong again from 12th September - 6th October so there will be no in-person pilates classes (Whitchurch and Mary Tavy) between those dates. Online classes will continue whilst I’m away. Obviously also no physio appointments so please let me know if you need me to see your horse (or you!) before I go as my availability is running out! Otherwise appointments are available again from October 7th.

I will be seeing doggie patients 🐶 at the fabulous HEAL Animal Wellness and Rehabilitation clinic in Horizon Plaza (Whiskers N Paws) whilst I’m in HK - please book with Wendy at HEAL if you’d like an appointment. She also has an amazing new hydrotherapy pool currently being installed so come along for a look 👀

🧘🏼‍♀️🤸🏽‍♂️ 🧘🏻🤸🏽‍♂️ Pilates is back on tomorrow at Mary Tavy Coronation hall 9.45-10.45am.
All welcome as always. No class again next week though due to the hall being used as a polling station. Whitchurch village hall class (Monday 5.45-6.45pm) is also back on as normal.
Both classes are suitable for all ages and ability levels. No booking is required - pay as you go £8 per class.
