Taynuilt has a beautiful new Labyrinth for all to use down at Kelly's Pier! See details below on how you could use it. Vicky and I spent the morning lovingly putting it together, before our Bealtaine celebration on Thursday evening. Bealtaine is one of the 8 Celtic festivals of the year that honours our abundant forever-giving earth.

We marked the occasion with a forage of course and making fragrant fresh tea from our findings. Our meal was made from wholesome ingredients collected freely by foraging within Taynuilt. After dinner we sat around the two fires that represented the sacred masculine and sacred femine within nature and ourselves, calling in balance and harmony between the two. In ancient times the two fires were jumped apparently! We shared from our hearts, and finished by walking and receiving guidance from the labyrinth. And we shook our bones to close! What an uplifting evening it was, and I am extremely grateful to Vicky and everyone who came. 🙏💜

If you choose to walk the Labyrinth, start by standing at the opening.
Move at whatever pace feels right for you.
As you move, try to quieten your mind.
You may have something you want to let go of on the way in, and ask for on the way out.
You might want to pray for yourself or for someone else.
You might ask a question.
Remember to listen as you walk and notice how you feel.
At the centre, pause and take a few deep breaths. Again, notice. Be in silence.
When you're ready, slowly meander out by retracing your steps back to the entrance. Notice if any messages come.
Upon exiting the Labyrinth, give gratitude for the opportunity to slow down and listen to your essence, possibly bringing more insight into your life.

We hope you enjoy it!
Upon leaving

Its always a joy doing these events with Vicky The Little Foragers Kitchen - we laugh, we honour the sacred, we collect from Mother Earth's endless abundance, we share food together, and learn so much from our shared interest in nature and reconnecting to ourselves, each other and the elements. Grateful to be holding space for women to gather with you Vicky, and for all of those who can make it. 💚💜

Calling all The Wild Women!

Where: Taynuilt

When: Thursday 1st of May, 6pm to 8pm

PAY WHAT YOU FEEL ON THE NIGHT

Limited spaces, booking essential

Join us on the beach next to the Bealtaine fires and (re)connect to your wild self

Cast into the flames all that no longer serves you and call in positivity and love, allowing the smoke to purify and protect as you run between them and stand in the labyrinth

Call in the elements and honour the ancestors, your divine feminine, the land and all that Nature gifts to us

Our evening will start with a guided forage along the hedgerows and across the salt marsh. We will gather wild medicinal herbs to mix a heart healing wild herbal tea blend that you will take home with you

During our walk you will learn
🌿how to forage sustainably and safely
🌿about foraging and the law
🌿how to identify a wide range of edible and medicinal plants
🌿how to make wild teas, infusions, vinegars and tinctures
🌿how to connect with the Earth on a deeper more meaningful level

It is time to remember the ancient wisdom of the women who walked before us and once again become the protectors and nurturers of the Earth

After our forage we shall gather around the fire to enjoy a wild meal, complete with delicious wild drinks, to nourish you from the inside out, designed to fuel the fires within and ignite your soul. Nutrient dense ingredients, lovingly made into delicious dishes for you to enjoy

We shall create our tea blend and enjoy sipping it slowly next to the fires as we watch the Sun descend and the Moon rise in the evening sky

After our feast, we shall create our labyrinth from the mineral rich stones on the shore, carefully placing each one with positive intent. We’ll walk between the fires, into the labyrinth together, to find balance, insight and self reflection

We will close our circle with a special Spring libation, and leave feeling nourished and uplifted, having spent the evening with our sisters in the warm embrace of Mother Nature

I recently visited Tobar Chonain/St Conan's Well in Dalmally and planted snowdrops, kindly donated by Theoldgardennursery David. It's a beautiful well to visit. Once you open the gate and follow the stone steps down, you will find the well and her crystal clear water. The gentle and somewhat mesmerising flow of water from the well-spring makes it a peaceful place to pause, pulling you into the abundance of our mother earth.

When women gather the magic happens - rainbows appear and there is inner movement! So much gratitude for this celebration of Imbolc here at Paula's Place. The creation of a crystal grid and all its intentions, making incense from scratch , the sacredness of eating good food together and gathering in circle around the fire. Our hearts were opened wide with cacao, as we sat watching the flames, celebrating Goddess Brigid and sharing our seeds of possibility and transformation. Such a beautiful day, thank you to all who attended!

Wouldn't it be great for women to gather together and share how we are feeling emotionally and physically at various phases of the moon? Now is the time! Put away your moon journals and join us on Zoom, as we share from our own experience over 9 phases of the moon cycle. By sharing our emotional state, we find common experience with others that allows a sense of connection. There'll be no judgement, no fixing and no advice giving...just unconditional love and building a deeper understanding of how we cycle with the moon. We'll be using the principals of Attitudinal Healing as tools for learning and personal transformation.

What it will take: Commitment to all 9 sessions.
When? The next new moon 28th February. See flyer below for all dates.

Join us on Zoom as we celebrate the Lunar Imbolc, 29th January 7-9pm GMT, 8-10pm EU, 11am-1pm PT, 2-4pm ET USA.
Take some well needed time out with your soul, gathering your winter wisdom, celebrating your great emergence from the dark, cleanse, clear your mind and make plans for the year ahead. Learn about the changes in the earth's energy at this time and how it impacts our own energy using the principles of Attitudinal Healing to lovingly guide us.
We will focus on the Principle: “Now is the only time there is and each moment is for giving” - with permission to give to yourself!
Listen to your inner wise self, as we reflect on wisdom gained in the winter months. Authentically share from your heart, let go of the old and bring in the new. Journal and plant your inner stirrings, those things you’re longing to bring forth into this new year. Speak your intentions and honour how that feels in this sacred circle.

If you’re interested, please email Paula for a registration form: paula@paulasplace.co.uk

Cost: small donation to Attitudinal Healing International

Inspired by the Celtic story, The Loss of the Voices of the Wells, retold by Sharon Blackie in her book; If Women Rose Rooted, I decided to organise a clean up of a local Well in nearby Dalmally, Scotland.

In her book, Blackie talks of a time when women tended to the land and the wellsprings, sharing water and food freely with those passing by. Over time, a 'new way' took over the land, and the women retreated, their voices were lost. The land turned into a commodity, which Blackie refers to as the Wasteland; baron of body and soul.

Her story got me thinking about how disconnected I have become with the land by the way I live. Tending to St Conan's Well felt like a good place to start; giving back to the land and honouring this natural water source.

Tobar Chonain or St Conan's Well has a recorded history that dates back 300 years, and unrecorded history more than likely pre-dating Christianity. The well is situated on a busy main road and has overhanging powerlines above it that hang between two monstrous pylons. Although the powerlines bring a heaviness to my heart, the joy received from revealing the stone slabs around the well, and the clear water within the well itself, helped me remember that man will come and go but nature will bounce back and out live us all.

I hope many people visit this well and leave their wishes on the Wishing Tree beside it. :)

It has been a joy cleaning up St Conan's Well and thanks to those who helped. And to Mike at The Ben Cruachan Inn for shouting us lunch - thank you!
