What a fantastic day we’ve had at Lakeview Care Home and Waters Edge Care Home celebrating Great British Pub Day! 🇬🇧🍻

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful atmosphere with mocktails and drinks served from the Lakeview Arms, Kendal Arms and The Waters Edge pubs – which went down so well, we think they might just have to become permanent features! 🍹

The day was filled with fun, including karaoke, a traditional pub quiz, and plenty of delicious drinks and classic pub snacks for everyone to enjoy.

A huge thank you to the Loweswater Unit at Lakeview Care Home for hosting such a brilliant event – it truly brought smiles to so many faces!

This week our homes had a wonderful time taking part in the Global Tea Party as part of Nutrition and Hydration Week! ☕🍰

Residents, staff and visitors came together to enjoy a fantastic afternoon filled with delicious treats, plenty of cups of tea, and lots of laughter. It was a lovely way to highlight the importance of staying hydrated and maintaining good nutrition, while also celebrating the joy that comes from sharing special moments together.

Events like these are a great reminder that food and drink are not just essential for our health, but also a wonderful way to bring people together and create meaningful connections 💙

🌸 A Special Mother’s Day at Lakeview 🌸

Our wonderful ladies at Lakeview Care Home were treated to a truly special celebration for Mother’s Day this year. 💖

The festivities began with a relaxing pamper day, where residents enjoyed some well-deserved TLC, including beauty treatments, gentle relaxation, and plenty of smiles and laughter. 💅✨

On Mothering Sunday, families joined us for a lovely family lunch, giving everyone the chance to spend quality time together, share memories, and celebrate the incredible mums, grandmothers and great-grandmothers who mean so much to us all.

It was a beautiful day filled with love, appreciation and togetherness — just the way Mother’s Day should be. 💐

🤠🌵 Country & Western Day at The Lakes! 🌵🤠

Yesterday, we brought a taste of the Wild West to Lakeview and Waters Edge with our fantastic Country & Western themed event!

Residents enjoyed a wonderful day of live entertainment from Alexandra, who performed in the Grasmere Lounge, Kendal Unit and at Waters Edge, filling the homes with music, singing and plenty of toe-tapping moments.

Our team got into the spirit too, dressing in checked shirts, denim and country-inspired outfits, helping to create a fun and lively atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.

It was a brilliant day full of smiles, music and community spirit – thank you to everyone who helped make it such a memorable occasion for our residents.

Something special is happening at Lakeview Care Home! ✨

Our Keswick and Kendal unit teams have come together to create a beautiful Wishing Well, where our service users can share their hopes, dreams, and special wishes.

Each month, our team will be making two wishes come true, adapting and supporting wherever needed to help create meaningful experiences and memories. Whether big or small, every wish is important to us as we continue to make each person’s journey at Lakeview as happy and fulfilling as possible.

We can’t wait to start bringing some wonderful wishes to life! 💙

There’s something truly magical about our intergenerational visits at Kinly Care. ✨

This week, we were delighted to welcome the children from Lower Farm Primary School to our Waters Edge and Lakeview care homes for our first visit of 2026. Residents and children spent a wonderful time together creating Valentine’s Day crafts and cards, sharing stories, laughter, and plenty of smiles along the way.

These special moments mean so much. The energy, warmth, and joy the children bring brightens the day for everyone, and our residents always look forward to their monthly visits.

A huge thank you to Lower Farm Primary School for helping us create such meaningful connections across the generations – we can’t wait for the next visit! 💕
