Congratulations to the team at Telford Crematorium for hosting a fantastic open day on Saturday 2nd August.
It was a wonderful opportunity for the public to gain insight into the inner workings of our local Crematorium.
L Tranter & Son were honoured to be invited to take part, showcasing both our Classic and Modern Hearses.
Sharon, David & John were on hand to speak with visitors and answer questions about the role of The Funeral Director.
We’re grateful to have been involved in such an informative and well organised event.

Here at L Tranter & Son we have seen an increase in marketing activity from some national direct cremation providers.

Many people aren’t even aware that their local independent funeral director offers the same direct cremation services, let me assure you that this is something we have always offered.


What makes us different?


Our team of qualified staff all live and work in our local community.
Our team are here to guide and support you and your loved ones.
Your loved one will be transferred into our care at the earliest opportunity, and they will remain in Telford with us until the cremation takes place.
Our non-attended cremations are carried out here in Telford within days of the paperwork being completed and the ashes returned in the following days.
We can arrange for your loved one to be dressed in their own clothing or we can offer you the opportunity to visit them in our chapel of rest.


How much does it cost?

A local dignified direct cremation arranged by our team here at L Tranter & Son costs only £2,065.00

If you’d like to plan for the future, we can also arrange a direct cremation Golden Charter funeral plan which would cost £2,390.00
