Care Is NOT A CHECKLIST ‼️☑️

Delivering complex care does not need to stop at the clinical checklist. We believe it’s also measured by how someone feels. Smiles like our client Marion’s reflect carers who go beyond tasks and focus on what matters just as much connection, dignity, consistency and, most importantly, quality.

This photo shows the impact of care done right.

Small Efforts, CHANGE LIVES 💪

Mike's journey is a prime example that it doesn't matter what role you're in! If you work hard, believe in yourself, and stay open to growth, you can achieve more than you ever imagined.

Today, Mike is inspiring and guiding our Service Coordinators. He doesn't just turn up, he genuinely cares about what he does and is always striving to do more, positively impacting not only the clients he supports, but also the people he leads.

The question is... are you striving for more? 🤔

BLUE tops for BLUE MONDAY 💙

But this Blue Monday, we’re celebrating Mike & Michael for completing PRICE Instructor Training, making them our newly qualified PRICE Trainers.

So, what is PRICE Training?

PRICE Training equips care organisations with evidence-based approaches to managing behaviours of concern, ensuring staff are trained to maintain safety through de-escalation, calming techniques, safe physical intervention, and proactive restraint reduction.

So instead of feeling the blues on the most talked-about Monday of the year, we’re celebrating two people now leading training that helps our teams respond safely, confidently, and effectively when it matters most.

Most people PANIC when this happens 😱

Would you know what to do if someone started having a seizure?

You might not think you’d ever have to deal with a situation like this but it can happen anywhere. In a shop. On the street. At work. And when it does, you will need to act quickly.

Staying calm and responding correctly can help prevent serious injury and keep someone safe. This video shows the key steps you should take if you ever find yourself in this situation.

Because knowledge saves lives.

Knowing this could SAVE A LIFE!!! ⚠️

For people with a spinal cord injury, this could happen in an instant and many people don't even realise it! A sudden headache? Profuse sweating? Confusion?

That's Autonomic Dysreflexia (AD), and it can be extremely dangerous!

AD can escalate quickly if it isn't recognised which is why our Komplex team is trained, prepared, and ready.

Because knowledge saves lives.

We DON’T understand why some care providers stop training at the frontline...

Care workers absolutely need the right skills and knowledge to do their jobs well. But they’re not the only ones speaking to clients, families, and staff every day.

While head office teams don’t directly deliver care, they answer questions, manage concerns, support teams, and help shape decisions. Without a real understanding of care in practice, it’s impossible to do that properly.

That’s why training matters just as much behind the scenes as it does on the frontline. It builds empathy, context, and confidence, so support is informed and people feel genuinely understood.

What do you think? Should everyone within care organisations be trained?

Felix’s Big Day at Wolverhampton Wanderers FC ⚽💛
This week, Amy Varney (Operations Director at Komplex Care) took her family to Wolves where her son Felix was given the opportunity to walk out as an official mascot for the Wolverhampton Wanderers FC vs Manchester United match.

This was an incredible moment for Felix and the whole family. Because of Felix’s autism, large crowds can feel overwhelming, especially in a packed football stadium, but Felix absolutely shone.

"Seeing a club create such an inclusive environment, supporting Felix and allowing him to be completely himself, meant the world."

Amy said the whole experience was just amazing and she wanted to give special thanks to Soki Makarounas, Schools Officer at Wolverhampton Wanderers Foundation, whose support made all the difference. Felix connected with him instantly which helped him feel safe, seen and ready for his big moment.

Amy is a huge advocate for autism and is passionate about helping people understand what life is really like for families of children with complex needs. She shares more about their journey in her podcast. You can listen to her latest episode here:

As a care organisation, we also want to thank the entire Wolves team for creating an environment where people like Felix can feel safe, confident and completely themselves. Your approach to inclusion made this experience unforgettable for the whole family.

695 children. 33 percent more than last year…

This year, Little Stars are gearing up for their biggest Christmas campaign to date, aiming to provide a gift for each child supported by the initiative. For many families across Shropshire, the challenges of everyday life means that Christmas presents and the joy they bring are out of reach.

From donating over 50+ toys to joining yesterday’s corporate wrapping day, we’re committed to helping Little Stars make a difference. Knowing that every gift we donated and wrapped will bring a smile to a child who needs it most makes every moment worthwhile.

We want to take this moment to appreciate Little Stars and the incredible work they do to support families across Shropshire.
