☀️ Stay Sun-Safe This Summer – From All of Us at Kitching’s Chemist ☀️
As temperatures soar, we want to help our wonderful community stay safe and healthy while enjoying the sunshine. Sun exposure can be uplifting, but it also comes with serious risks if we’re not careful.
🧴 Top Tips to Stay Protected:
• Apply sunscreen regularly – SPF 30 or higher, even on cloudy days!
• Wear a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, and loose-fitting, light clothing.
• Keep hydrated with water – caffeine and alcohol don’t count!
• Stay in the shade between 11am and 3pm when the sun is strongest.
• Don’t forget to check in on children, older adults, and pets.
🔥 Know the Signs of Heat Stroke:
• High body temperature (above 40°C)
• Red, hot, dry skin with no sweating
• Rapid heartbeat or breathing
• Confusion, dizziness, or nausea
• Fainting or unconsciousness
Heat stroke is a medical emergency. If you or someone else shows these signs, call 999 and move to a cool place immediately.
