A perfect time to give your heart a little extra care.

Over 7 million people in the UK are affected by Cardiovascular Disease (CVD-a name used to describe conditions that affect the heart and blood vessels)
Men are at higher risk of developing it earlier than women and it's the leading cause of premature death in men — but the positive news is that simple steps can help prevent and manage it.

Getting your blood pressure checked or having your NHS Health Check could make all the difference. Don’t put it off — it could save your life!

Will you be joining us for our free celebration event, tomorrow with free entertainment, free face painting, free refreshments and information stalls. 1-4pm at Donnington Community Hub. We have investment from the UKSP fund and The Morrisons Foundation as well as our Family Hub, to make our centre more accessible and bring it up to date.

🥳 We are pleased to announce that with Donnington Community Hub & The Silver Threads Hall we will be both be hosting Live Well Community Hub from November.

📅 Live Well Community Hub location at Donnington Community Hub next Friday 7th November 9:30am - 11:30am and runs the first Friday of the month & Tuesday 18th November 3.30pm - 5.45pm at The Silver Threads Hall runs the third Tuesday of every month.

💚 The Hub is a collaboration of services working together to bring face to face support out into the community for local residents. You can expect to be able to have your Blood Pressure checked, discuss money matters, adult independent living and this hub is proud to be supporting people serving in the Armed Forces or Veterans. And more!

👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 In addition to this our Live Well Community Hub at Donnington Community Hub is running alongside The Family Hubs Donnington Drop In session which we will add to the offer we can provide for the Donnington area.

The Live Well Community Hub is setting up at our next community venue in Wellington Library.

Launching thisThursday 23rd October 10-12 our core services and quest speakers will be opening what we hope will be a vibrant couple of hours. Come along and speak with services and hear about how this Hub aims to be a one stop shop for local residents to access face to face support in areas of health, social care, finances and more.
