Another wonderful afternoon at St George’s Park!

We spent the afternoon with the brilliant Rob Burton, who always makes sure everyone is having the best time. There was plenty of singing, smiling, and toe-tapping, all topped off with a visit from our sweet treat trolley to keep everyone going.

A perfect combination of music, laughter, and delicious treats — afternoons like these are always a hit!

What a fantastic afternoon at St George’s Park!

We were delighted to be joined by the wonderful Bob’s Your Uncle, bringing music, laughter, and plenty of energy into the home. Before long, everyone was up for a boogie, singing along to much-loved tunes and enjoying the joyful atmosphere together.

Music truly brings people together, and this was an afternoon full of smiles, and movement.

Gardening Season Begins at St George’s Park

With spring around the corner, our residents recently came together to decide which seeds to plant in this year’s vegetable garden. It sparked some lovely conversations, especially among our keen gardeners, who were more than happy to take the lead and share their knowledge and expertise.

Many of those attending have a wealth of gardening experience, and it was wonderful to see how excited they were when choosing the seeds for the months ahead. A relaxed and enjoyable discussion, full of ideas and anticipation for watching everything grow.

We’re looking forward to getting our hands in the soil and seeing our garden come to life once again.

Valentine’s Day at St George’s Park💕

Valentine’s Day at St George’s Park started in the best way — with crumpets and a full English breakfast to set everyone up for the day.

We then enjoyed our residents’ voted love film, Pride and Prejudice, followed by a relaxing afternoon of making Valentine’s cards and colouring.

In the afternoon, we were delighted to be joined by the lovely Wayne Hinton, who treated us to love songs through the decades, bringing back wonderful memories and plenty of smiles.

A truly lovely day filled with good food, creativity, music, and love.

Another Fun-Filled Afternoon at St George’s Park

We had so much fun again this week with Kiddleydivey Shropshire, Mid Wales & Wolverhampton - Adults! It’s always all hands on deck when the music starts, with everyone up dancing and getting involved.

Eric and Shaz made a beeline for the dance floor, thoroughly enjoying the afternoon, showing off their moves and encouraging others to join in. Laughter, music and plenty of energy filled the room — just the way we like it!

A Big Thank You from St George’s Park

We’d like to say a huge thank you to Daily Sparkle for translating the daily newspaper we use into Latvian for our resident, Rita. As a non-English speaker, Rita is absolutely thrilled to now enjoy The Daily Sparkle as part of her morning routine alongside her breakfast.

It’s wonderful to see how small, thoughtful gestures can make such a meaningful difference and help everyone feel included, informed, and at home.

A Wonderful Day Out at Kingswood Trust

Today, we enjoyed another visit to The Friends of Kingswood Trust with Nature Connection. After Sarah accidentally left her rucksack behind on our last visit, we took it as the perfect excuse to return and spend another fantastic day with Helen and the team.

Our residents loved feeding the sheep, getting creative with crafts, and spending time once again with Adam’s wonderful therapy dogs. We also had the pleasure of meeting residents from Wheaton Aston Court Care Home, where Joy and Margaret were lovely company and enjoyed a good chat.

Ken especially enjoyed being outdoors, making the most of the open walking spaces. Having owned dogs for most of his life, seeing the therapy dogs was truly the highlight of his day.

We’ll be planning our next visit very soon!

Monthly Residents’ Meal at St George’s Park

Today was our monthly shared meal with residents, and our Clinical Lead, Grant, joined Percy and Phill for lunch. Everyone enjoyed a delicious homemade cottage pie with vegetables, followed by a comforting homemade crumble, all washed down with a nice glass of juice.

Moments like these are a wonderful opportunity to sit together, share conversation, and enjoy good food in great company.

We recently enjoyed a wonderful visit to the The Friends of Kingswood Trust, and what a memorable day it was.

Our lovely host, Helen, made us feel so welcome, starting the day with a much-appreciated hot cup of tea or coffee. As we were chatting, we discovered that the site is home to two air raid shelters — which sparked some incredible memories for Eric, a new resident at St George’s Park.

At almost 94 years young, Eric was able to step back inside one of the shelters and share first-hand memories of growing up during that time, including having a Morrison shelter in his own home. It was a truly special moment for everyone to hear his stories and experiences.

The day was filled with so many lovely activities. We met guinea pigs, ducks, and chickens, made lavender bags to take home, enjoyed crafts, and explored the beautiful surroundings as we walked around the site.

We’re already looking forward to visiting again very soon. A huge thank you to everyone at Kingswood Trust for such a welcoming and enriching experience.
