Sonny!!

It was so good to see this boy again, and doing so well. Sonny was rehomed to his wonderful new owner a couple of years ago and has been living his best life since. Sonny was having regular physio with us when at dogstrustshrewsbury, and has been in this week to resume some physio following an episode of pain. He was a good boy and settled into the session amazingly!

See you again soon handsome Sonny!! 😁

Meet Benji 🐰 (I love this little man!)

I got asked by Benji’s owner to carry out some physiotherapy for him to help with the arthritis he has in his toes, ankles and hips ( from all those years of hopping around being a happy chappy). We place him over the PEMFT mat to target his toes and ankles, and some LASER therapy to all affected joints too.

He’s the first rabbit I’ve treated, and I’ve learnt a lot! Thank you to his owner for their patience and allowing me to help him. See you next time Benj!

Wilf came by yesterday for his first veterinary physiotherapy session post spinal surgery!

Wilf has recovered extremely well post surgery and on the road to making a full recovery. We focused on some strengthening exercises to help with balance and core strength. He may also be having a splash in hydrotherapy in the near-future too!

This handsome boy is usually bobbing around in the pool at the centre having plenty of fun!! But yesterday he came for his first physio session instead.

He’s such a good patient, we did some massage and LASER to areas with some OA changes and tolerated it very well!

We see plenty of elbow and hip dysplasia dogs, with the right medication, weight management and rehabilitation, these conditions can be well managed 🐶

What fun we had with this boy!!

Fox came by the centre recently for a physiotherapy check over to address any areas to help improve his posture for his showing career. He was such a fabulous boy and we’re wishing him all the best for his future in the show ring!! 😀🐶

Flye’s sessions used to start off with a lot more nerves and restlessness. Not more recently!! He’s very used to his physiotherapy sessions now, and can be seen having a nap after treatment 😆

As some of you know, a few weeks ago I started a new role working alongside the wonderful team of physio’s at Willows Veterinary Centre and Referral Service. I’m excited to learn more, and gain the experiences of working in a referral setting.

Because of this, it means I’m currently away from work on a Thursday.. I just want to say thank you to everyone that’s been very adaptable with their appointments to make this work 🤗

I’ll still be around Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday’s as normal for all your dog’s physio/hydro sessions! 🐶

Meet Darcy!

We’ve recently had Darcy in the centre for an initial
physiotherapy assessment with the aim to carry out hydrotherapy. Darcy has had surgery for a luxating patella (kneecap). The aim is to build some muscle on the affected leg, and make her feel more comfortable! 😁 she’s a very sweet girl!
