We’re thrilled, honoured and humbled to have been recognised as part of the High Sheriff of Shropshire's awards, alongside so many amazing people and charities working hard for Shropshire and our people. What an amazing county!

Martin commented:
"Receiving an award from the High Sheriff was a significant honour. It is a life passion and not a job to assist individuals in their recovery. The team feels like working with my family rather than colleagues. I feel fortunate to be doing what I do, no awards are necessary, but I am grateful, nonetheless. It is a real pleasure to see A Better Tomorrow recognised with an award as well."

Please join us in congratulating Scott and Martin.

🎉Today we're celebrating Leighton – 10 years in recovery!

We're proud to have you as our Centre Manager. You bring your whole self to ABT. Understanding the journey, the steps it takes, the ups and the downs. Your honesty and leadership make you a vital part of our daily operations and at the heart of what we are here to do.

Congratulations, Leighton. We're grateful for everything you bring to ABT.

🎤✨ Calling poets, singers, storytellers & every voice in between ✨🎶

ARTiculating HerStory is creating space for real stories, not polished performances.

You don’t need to be a poet. You don’t need to be a spoken word artist or singer. You don’t need experience, training, or a label.

If you’ve never taken a mic before but have something you’ve lived, learned, survived, or grown through, this space is for you.

Your words don’t need to be about domestic abuse. They can be about recovery, resilience, grief, joy, rebuilding, becoming, hope, or survival. Anything honest. Anything human. Anything that might move someone else because it’s real.

This event is inspired by a survivor-led project by The Haven Wolverhampton, but participation is open to everyone; all genders, all backgrounds, all walks of life.

Whether your story comes out as a poem, a few spoken lines, a song, or simply words spoken from the heart, you are welcome.

You don’t have to sound like anyone else.
You just have to sound like you. 💜

The Live Well Community Hub is changing and we're excited that we can now bring the Community Hub closer to some of our local residents.

As Community Hubs begin to roll out to more places across the borough following the success of the flagship Madeley Hub at the Library, we're pleased that changes will bring community hubs to both the Hub on the The Hub On The Hill at Sutton Hill and the park Park Lane Centre Telford in Woodside.

Live Well Community Hubs will now take place monthly at Madeley Community Library on the fourth Wednesday of each month, while Sutton Hill and Woodside will alternate on the second Wednesday of the month.

All hubs will run from 10am-12noon on a drop-in basis, and there are more core services than ever before.

Core services now include all of the following:

Healthy Lifestyles (Healthy Telford)
Blood Pressure checks
Telford Mind
Citizens Advice Telford & the Wrekin
Independent Living Centre
Telford & Wrekin CVS
Digital Support
Lingen Davies
Family Hubs

Come along tomorrow for the first Live Well Community Hub at the Hub on the Hill at Sutton Hill from 10am-12noon where the core services will also be joined by guests:

- Christians Against Poverty
- Community Pharmacy

We know how successful the Community Hub has been proving in Madeley and we hope that this success can continue for our residents in Sutton Hill and Woodside.

Check out the poster to see when and where the Live Well Community Hubs will be this year.
