🚗 Where has our community physio team been today—and who have we helped?
Another busy and rewarding day supporting our patients across the region. Each visit reminds us why we do what we do.
🧓 Severe dementia, limited hearing & sight
Our morning began with an elderly gentleman living with advanced dementia. Through gentle movement, sensory stimulation and guided mobility, he became more alert and engaged throughout the session—small changes that make a big difference to quality of life.
🏥 Post–hip replacement mobility & strength rehab
Next, we supported a patient struggling with mobility and confidence following a hip replacement. Targeted strengthening and gait training helped improve movement, control and independence.
🧠 Parkinson’s rehabilitation
Our next client, recently discharged from hospital, presented with weakness and poor balance linked to Parkinson’s and limited mobility due to hospital stay. With focused strength and balance exercises, he made great progress—regaining steadiness and improving functional movement.
🧩 Stroke rehabilitation – early recovery
We then visited a stroke survivor who initially had no active movement on the affected side and is currently fed via PEG due to weakness. Recently brought encouraging signs: the first beginnings of active movement and improved trunk control. Early steps matter.
🚶 Stroke rehabilitation – advanced recovery
We ended the day with another stroke patient who has progressed from requiring a hoist and being unable to sit unaided, to now walking with a stick with assistance. A remarkable journey and testament to consistent rehabilitation.
💚 Every patient is different, and every improvement—big or small—is worth celebrating.
If you or a family member would benefit from home physiotherapy, our community team is here to help.
