THE ROAD TO RECOVERY 🤕📈

I explain the attached image to my clients regularly as there is often a misconception that recovery is linear. Sadly this is often not the case and patients often experience good days and bad days with an injury.

So what affects recovery? Poor sleep? bad diet? pushing ourselves too hard? not pushing ourselves hard enough? Illness? Stress? Or simply life just getting in the way! The list goes on.

But the advice I do like to give is to listen to your body! It will tell you when you have done too much or not done enough. And be patient with you recovery - these things don't happen overnight and whilst your body is an amazing healer it does still need time, care and attention. And finally, don't beat yourself up about your progress (or lack of) and don't compare yourself to others. Everyone recovers and heals differently.

People get chastised for using the words injury prevention, but I think it’s used mainly as a term the public understand.

But there’s a big difference in understanding & managing expectations that injuries may happen but we can try reducing the chances > preventing them happening.‬

I’d love this message to change on a wide scale.

‼️CANCELLATION POLICY ‼️

7Therapy is committed to providing exceptional care to our clients and we do understand that life gets busy or illness occurs. However, from 1st February 2025, we will be enforcing a cancellation policy. All clients will need to give 48 hours' notice before their scheduled appointment for cancelling or rearranging and will not incur a charge.
Cancellations made within 24-48 hours will incur a 50% fee and No shows or cancellations on the day of your appointment will be charged in full.

If you need to discuss your reasons for cancelling then please do not hesitate to contact me, I am pretty lenient and understanding but please do understand that I am self-employed and if you don't attend your appointment I don't get paid. If you do wish to cancel please contact me as early as you can so I can offer the appointment to someone else. No-shows and late cancellations make it impossible to backfill your appointment.

A new booking system is due to go live over the next few weeks allowing you to manage your bookings more easily (details to follow)

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - PRICE INCREASE

To all my valued clients,

Since starting out in 2018 I have retained my prices at a very competitive price whilst still offering you all a great treatment service.

As of January 1st 2025 there will be a small increase to your treatment costs. An hourly appointment will increase by £5 to £45. A new cancellation policy will also be introduced from January 2025 and I will detail this further in due course.

Keep your eyes peeled for further announcements with some exciting things on the horizon.

*** EXCITING NEWS ***

I’ve been a bit quiet on social media for a while now, a lot has been happening in the background! As most of my current clients will know, I have a hunger to improve my knowledge and skills and have been exploring different educational avenues to what best aligns with my beliefs, values and what 7Therapy offers to its patients.

With this in mind, I have signed up with Movement Therapy Education to undertake their degree-level diploma course. This course will allow me to become an expert in “restoring mobility and function in individuals impacted by injuries or pain, utilising a combination of movement exercises, hands-on manual therapy, education, and tailored advice.”

As time goes on, I will keep you all posted about what the course entails and how the skills I have learnt can help my patients both new and old.

In the meantime, I am still offering Soft Tissue Treatments, including sport and remedial massage therapy, and continue to take on new clients. So book an appointment today and begin your journey to recovery.
