After watching last nights BBC Spotlight show on a fertility practice in NI before I fell asleep🤦‍♀️.....I just wanted to reiterate that as a Womb & Fertility Massage Therapy™ therapist, we do NOT guarantee pregnancy, nor do we claim to “cure” or diagnose any medical conditions. We do not replace any medical care you are under, and if you do have any medical concerns, our advice is always to contact your GP or health care professional.
Womb & Fertility Massage Therapy™ aims to support, nourish and nurture women through their fertility journey. The massage is a beautiful blend of modalities, that when combined, aims to bring harmony and balance to the Reproductive, Digestive & Sacral areas. It is a complimentary therapy that supports women during all stages of their reproductive life, from initial menstruation to menopause and beyond.
The simple act of increasing blood flow to these areas can bring comfort can bring a revitalisation just like when we bang our knee its natural to give it a rub. It makes us 'feel better' There are no pregnancy guarantees from receiving it.
Reflexology can not be used as a diagnostic tool and whilst people can say they see things in the feet its the same as reading a persons body language your feet just express things....
Reflexology is based on TCM and uses energetic meridians once again to bring harmony and balance to the whole body
Please do your research and do not be afraid to request qualifications. I personally do not display copies of mine on the wall however the majority of my training is Federation of Holistic therapist approved. I am not medical, I do not claim to be, my anatomy knowledge leads me to use medical terminology and as i have supported many many clients through IVF And other assisted conception modalities it is appropriate within my practice and scope of support to use correct terminology. Just as I bring up my children to use p***s and v***a to describe their ge****ls rarher than non specific incorrect names.
I support my clients emotionally energetically and physically.
Whilst the documentary is going to be very very damaging to that practice it also highlights a need for transparancy within the industry and i think we all have something ro learn from this.
Please take care, ask questions and anything I cant answer i will certainly refer on or research with you.
