The sun is out.
For some this is everything. It’s uplifting, encouraging, wholesome, and all the good stuff.
For others though it can be difficult.
Friends asking you to come out, neighbours partying in their gardens, and shops advertising alcohol and snacks at the front of their store.
For people experiencing anxiety, loneliness, addiction, or recovery, the pressure to be outside, social, and “having fun” can feel overwhelming. Sometimes the fear of missing out is real, and sometimes simply getting through the day quietly is enough.
Young people out enjoying the sun with a few drinks and maybe a smoke with your mates — have fun, but be careful, and be safe. It’s okay to say no, take a step back, leave early, or set boundaries.
Enjoy the sunshine in whatever way feels right for you.
Ronnie is loving it.
