A perfect example of something rescues see regularly. If you are digging holes in your garden please cover them over until you finish work. This one was found down a post hole filled with water. The chap who found it was closer to our vet than us so he rushed him there and they gave him a good bath. He's likely to need a few more once he arrives here tomorrow and we also have to watch out for pneumonia from inhaling water.

EDIT: Joey and Peter have kindly had rugs purchased for them by supporters, so we just need two more 4'3 rugs for Pat and Eeyore

Our lovely donkeys are after some pony rugs if anyone has one going spare 🙏
They need to be clipped and washed to treat a minor skin issue, but it's too cold for them to be going around all naked!
Little Joey needs a 3'6 turnout rug, and Peter, Pat and Eeyore each need a 4'3 turnout. If you have a 100-150g one in these sizes going spare, or even a rainsheet and fleece, and are able to donate it to our cheeky boys, please get in touch 💚

🍓Pimp your porridge! 🍓

Mixed Berry Porridge with Nuts and Berries🥣

Have you tried our new Mixed Berry Porridge MRP yet?
It’s super yummy and perfect for any time of day, not just for breakfast!

We’ve pimped ours up with nuts and berries

Check out our Step 2 recipe below~

To Prepare:
To your porridge, add 10g of either almonds, pumpkin, sesame or sunflower seeds then add either 100g of blueberries or 200g of strawberries (all of these are about 60-70 calories)**

Then add 100g of 5% Greek yoghurt or 170g of fat-free, Greek yoghurt

*The ingredients in this recipe have been carefully chosen so that they come in around 200 calories, with high protein and with either low carbs or fat

As they are being combined with one of our nutritionally-complete MRPs, we’ve been able to include a few ingredients that aren’t included with our Steps Booklet food chart

These meals have similar ‘macro’ (carbs, fat and protein) levels to The 1:1 Diet MRPs

✨Life is never perfect, nor is weight loss and maintenance

✨Keep working on getting your thought process away from I’ve been ‘good’ or ‘bad’, so you’re neither ‘in’ or ‘out’, just keep trying to do your very best.

✨If you have fallen down, brush yourself off, take a deep breath, and then try to get straight back up. Keep making sure that you get out of your own way. You are your biggest hurdle. Not other people. You.

✨If you have one flat tire, do you slash the other three?

✨Failing is part of the progress and there is only one way to improve, and thats trying again.

✨Just keep moving forward one day at a day, one meal at a time. One foot in front of the other.

✨Overall be kind to yourself, and never ever give up, or lose sight of your goal or what it represents, Improved health. Mentally amd physically. Now that’s worth fighting for.

✨Nobody is perfect nor is this journey. It wasn’t supposed to be, or has to be to be successful

Remember these:
✨You are entirely up to you
✨The best project you will ever work on is you
✨Wake up with determination, go to bed with satisfaction
✨Prioritise you and your goals, you’re worth the effort
✨Choose your hard. Weight loss is hard. Weight maintenance is hard. However, being overweight, unhealthy and unhappy with yourself can be even harder

It’s International Beer Day – a day when you’re encouraged to reach for a beer. But before you do, do you know how many calories are in beer? Do you know why it gives you a beer belly?

There are around 180 calories in a pint of beer. This is equivalent to a slice of pizza and would take over 18 minutes of running to burn off. These are empty calories, with no nutritional benefit, and can really add up on a heavy drinking day.
