This is an interesting breathing technique to clear your lungs. Essential to minimise the chances of infection. Can’t vouch it will protect you from the Covid 19 virus but these kind of deep breathing exercises are great for your respiratory health.

The technique is used every day in intensive care units but is very easy to do at home.

Dear All

It will not have escaped your attention, unless you are on a desert island, [which we might as well be!] that we are all in lock down
I do hope you are all managing well and keeping safe

It is a worrying time but I am certain we will all get through it and there may be good things that eventually come from this ordeal.

In order to try and provide the best service possible we are proposing to do remote consultations for people who are in trouble in any way.

Having arrived at a diagnosis a number of methods can be used to help you.

This can range from exercises to keep you fit, which may help to solve musculoskeletal problems. We can give advice on nutrition for many problems. We can provide instruction on self manipulation which can be beneficial for certain issues as can self acupuncture, which can be performed by means of digital pressure or point stimulation.

So many things may be done remotely.

This kind of treatment may be applicable for conditions such as Headache, Back and neck pain and joint problems. We can also give advice and on line demonstrations of exercise and strapping [easily demonstrated on face time or Zoom]. Stress and anxiety may be alleviated by Osteopathy and Acupuncture and peoples immune responses may be modulated by Acupuncture and other approaches
There are so many way things that may be helped remotely it is not possible to outline them all here.

If you have any issues at all that you would like to discuss please either phone or send an email so we can have a preliminary free discussion to find out if we can help you.

Your wellbeing is our concern.

Please have a look at our Face book page ‘Coach House Clinic Tenterden’, where we post interesting articles and advice We would be grateful if you were to follow us, we are interested in your comments and likes and especially if you share our posts.

We intend to revamp our website with an accompanying blog about how best to remain heathy in the home and advice on any devices or products that would be useful.

I wish all of you the best in these troubled times.

Stay safe

To all our customers please note that the Coach House Clinic and my practice in Saltwood will be closed as of now.
It will certainly remain so for the next two weeks.
We will be reviewing our situation in the light of developments in the spread of the Covid 19 virus and Government directives.

Please feel free to contact me on my mobile 07973894581 if you have any issues that you want to discuss.

It may well be possible to provide you with a telephone or video link consultation that addresses your problem.

I am sorry if this presents an inconvenience but it is necessary for us all.

I wish you all a safe journey through these extraordinary times.

Stephen Ward 1913 -1963. Society Osteopath.
The Profumo Affair 1963
A depiction of the most famous [or infamous] Osteopath features on television tonight .The Trial of Christine Keeler.[ BBC ONE 9pm.]

Stephen Ward was the Society Osteopath who functioned out of Wimpole Street and treated Royalty and politicians such as Winston Churchill.
It was he, with his connections in high and low society, that introduced Christine Keeler and Mandy Rice Davis to John Profumo, The Secretary of State for War and Yevgeny Ivanov, the Soviet Naval attaché.
This caused one of the greatest scandals in British post war history. It will be interesting viewing.
Stephen Ward was thought to have committed su***de but there has been a lot of speculation as to how he met his end.
I worked with Osteopaths such as Edwin Miller, John Wernham, T Edward Hall and Thomas Dummer who had studied with him and knew him well. They had some stories to tell.
