Yes that’s me in top left… that picture of me sitting on sofa was my last straw… I didn’t even know my mum had taken it… I hated exercise growing up, found PE embarrassing so I’d fake asthma attacks to get out of it, I knew I had to change!!!

So I started just that, I started helping others as I knew the struggle is real, it’s not bloody easy!!! I fell in love with seeing others succeed so I became a Personal Trainer level 2, wanted more knowledge so done level 3 and many bolt on courses!!

I’m fit and healthy, to my knowledge, I’m not where I wanna be (is anyone ever happy with themselves) but still going strong, and I’m still loving training, love teaching, love seeing changes!!! Love making people happy!!

What a day 💪🏽❤️ Finally home it’s been a crazy busy day and I’ve loved every minute of it…

It was lovely to have some clients come back and join us today- welcome back to Hodgson Fitness,

Another massive well done to everyone who turned up to our New Strength Class - aimed at people who are wanting to start strength training, perimenopause/menopause to help with symptoms, keeping bone and muscle density strong! Can’t wait to see you Wednesday at 10am or Next Monday at 19.00

As we start to think about Monday 😫 (where did the weekend go?)

I want to take about the importance of Strength Training and to let you know about the New Low Impact Strength Class starting tomorrow.

Strength training during perimenopause and menopause is one of the most powerful ways to support your body through these hormonal changes. As oestrogen levels start to drop, women naturally begin to lose muscle and bone mass, which can lead to fatigue, weaker bones, and ultimately up your risk of developing pain and susceptibility to injury.

What's more: After 50, women can experience a rapid progression of arthritis and joint pain in the hands, knees, and hips, as cartilage starts to break down due to lack of oestrogen. But lifting weights or doing resistance exercises helps counteract these changes by keeping your muscles strong and bones healthy.

No matter your current fitness level, it’s never too late (or too early!) to start training for your future.

Afternoon…

Its been a crazy morning- just wanted to say well done to my Early Birds- smashed it as always, I also love they make up new moves that works so well- (need to up my game) so I can add to a class at a later date!! It called the AIDEN! Coming to a class soon 🤪

Well done to everyone who attended Core- it was a tough one… I’m sure you’re pleased to know Brad will be back next week, so you’re safe from me for a while… you were all amazing! Great turn out.

Good Morning!!

We’ve hit Hump Day❤️ I love Wednesdays I only do a half day but after a killer Monday and Tuesday I think I’m allowed it…

We have a New Instructor in town! He’s very cute, very professional, motivating and guaranteed to make you smile, in life we are taught, we learn from parents, friends, family, and then we put things into action. Someone who is brought up around exercise is more likely to want to do exercise, look at it as part of life not a chore.

I know first hand how hard it is to train when you have young children, and to have the guilt of asking for childcare so you can have 30 minutes to work on yourself, well Kirsty & Ben have nailed it!!

At Hodgson Fitness we offer PTs in small groups were you can bring the child and encourage movement, fun, laughter! So if you have a group of friends in same boat or you want to come alone with you child/children get in touch… this little man is going places!!! 💙

I feel the dynamic changed this morning I swear I’m there to push you, not you push my buttons!!! 🤣🤣🤣 off to get measured.. yes I am short 🤣

That’s the thing about HF we work out but we’re a friendly 🤪 bunch, we train and laugh, start the day with happy endorphins- Me … oh they release my cortisol 🤣🤣🤣 only joking I love my HF family…

Break time!!!

Day 1 is always hard for everyone after a holiday, setting my 4am alarm killed me this morning!

5 Pts, 2- 30 minute Classes and an hour Glute Training for myself (yes my arse is going to hurt tomorrow) was always going to be a shock to the system, but we all have to start somewhere!!

Now taking an hour to have a cuppa, reset my mind, have a rebuild strength shake, plan tonight’s classes, reply to messages and write tonight’s classes!
