Upton Mill welcomed Tetbury beavers in this week to help our residents in the garden, and one of the beavers was the granddaughter of Frank so he was very pleased to see her.

They worked extremely hard planting out sweet peas, dahlia bulbs, sunflowers and more. 🌻 🌺

This past week to recognise Mental Health Awareness Week, Upton Mill provided mindful sessions for staff, encouraged them to take periodic garden walks during their shift, provided snacks of both the healthy snd not so healthy options, and Tetbury Wellbeing in to offer some relaxing massages to staff, which were very gratefully received.

Mental Health Awareness Week 2026 takes place from May 11 to May 17, 2026, with the core theme of "Action". Led by the Mental Health Foundation, the campaign encourages individuals to move beyond awareness and take practical, everyday steps to support good mental health for themselves and their communities.

This week Upton Mill received a surprise visit from an Environmental Heath officer, not that we were concerned, following her visit we are very proud to announce our kitchen was awarded 5 stars 🌟

We done to our kitchen staff and hosts who work so hard to keep our kitchen and dining areas so clean and hygienic. 🙌 🍾 🥳

I understand staff sang “happy birthday” 🎶 to her at least 10 times during the day with her afternoon tea being accompanied with a delicious birthday cake made by our chef 🎂

Today we celebrated International Nurses Day, so it seemed only right to give back to our clinical staff and show our gratitude for the hard work they do. 🧑‍⚕️ ⭐

All of our clinical staff will receive a gift; those on shift today received their gift and an afternoon tea prepared by our kitchen. A well-deserved treat.

International Nurses Day is an international day observed around the world on 12th May each year, to mark the contributions that nurses make to society.
