Hi guys,

Hope you're all well and ready for Christmas :)

This will be my last post sadly, as i leave Wrottesley tomorrow to start my new job in the new year.

I just wanted to take the opportunity to say what a pleasure its been working with your loved ones over the course of my 7 years here! From starting off as a care assistant and moving onto Wellbeing coordinator its been a privilege being able to spend so much quality time really getting to know the residents and sharing so many special times with them

Today, We enjoyed a fantastic day out at West Midlands Safari Park we were lucky to see so many animals up close as well as having front row seats for a sea lion show!

As always thank you so much to Alan Tolley from LetsGo trips who provide such a excellent, inclusive service for our residents.

Home now for a nice cup of tea!

Halloween is in full swing here at Wrottesley park!
The home has been transformed for spooky season and This morning residents have enjoyed creating decorations as well as starting work on our full sized Guy Fawkes who will take pride of place in reception! What shall we name him!?

This morning residents have enjoyed creating Autumn wreaths for the home, we made the wreaths with leaves we collected on our nature walk on Wednesday :)

We also had (very messy) fun, calving pumpkins!

We scooped out the seeds and used them to create art work and the pulp was added to a bowl of water for our sensory session this afternoon :)

Lots of fun was had by all!

Helllo all :)

On Thursday we enjoyed a fantastic show by The Entertainment Providers, where we were entertained by Frank Sinatra, Dean martin and Elvis!

Live music is always a big hit at Wrottesley park and All of our residents and their family members enjoyed the show, we are very much looking forward to welcoming them back for our Halloween party on 24th October from 11am, we hope to see some of you there!

Paul has had a brilliant time in the garden scrumping for apples and plums. The plums were super tasty and Paul has been round the whole home offering them out to all the residents and staff.

Hello All!
We hope you are all well!
Apologies for the lack of updates, we have been experiencing some technical difficulties with our page but we are back up and running :)

Lots has been going on here at Wrottesley, as well as daily in house activities we have enjoyed some really nice days out in the sunshine , Our residents really enjoy bowling, as well as being an inclusive activity that everybody can enjoy, it helps with core upper body strength ... as well as being super fun! Tenpin is one of our favorite places to visit, with its friendly staff and specially adapted lanes for wheelchair users.

We have also enjoyed a visit to chase water park, where residents enjoyed watching jet skis, feeding the ducks and a picnic in the sunshine!

Our next trip to West Midlands Safari Park is next week and we cannot wait!

Fantastic day today with the residents. We had a visit from a couple of therapy ponies called lollipop and moomin x they were absolutely fantastic and the smile they put on the residents faces was priceless. This is the great side of the job, seeing residents smile, happy and doing something a little out of their comfort zone sometimes. Our residents are huge animal lovers and the atmosphere is amazing every time we have animal visits. What a brilliant morning had by all x

A fun filled morning celebrating Paul, Peter and Sophie’s birthdays!

We have opened presents, enjoyed a Kareoke disco and will be enjoying birthday cakes after lunch!

Don’t forget, our relatives and residents meeting is taking place this afternoon from 2pm in the dining room.

One of our residents had asked a few weeks ago if we could take him somewhere to see either planes, cars or motorbikes so today we have spent the day at cosford air museum and he absolutely loved it. We took another as they really get on and they had a great time.
It’s so amazing getting to take our residents to places they have always wanted to go and to see the smile on their faces and the joy it brings them.

Absolutely brilliant day ❤️❤️❤️
