☕🍰 Outing Day at Magnolia House...

We wrapped up warm and headed out for coffee & cake—and while some may say it’s a little early, we couldn’t resist a wander through the Christmas decorations!

From sparkling trees to cheeky festive characters, there were smiles all round and plenty of “oohs” and “aahs.” 🎄❄️

A huge thank you to our residents, families, staff and neighbours for supporting our cake sale — together we raised an amazing £274! 🥳

🐶💐 A Pawsitively Wonderful Visit at Magnolia House!

We were delighted to welcome Margo the PAT Dog to Magnolia House recently — and what a wonderful visit it was!

Margo made her way around the home, greeting our residents with gentle cuddles, wagging tails, and plenty of affection. It was heartwarming to see so many smiles and happy faces — she truly brightened everyone’s day.

A huge thank you to Margo (and her owner) for spreading so much joy and comfort. We can’t wait for your next visit! 🐾✨

☀️🍓🍰 A Sweet Afternoon at Magnolia House...

With the sunshine shining down, we couldn’t resist treating ourselves to a wonderful afternoon of fresh fruit platters and a tempting selection of cakes.

From juicy watermelon and strawberries to slices of homemade cake, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
It was the perfect way to bring a little sunshine indoors as we approach the end of summer.

🐟✨ Fish & Chips Friday at Magnolia House!....

There’s something magical about the smell of fresh fish and chips, wrapped up in paper, with lashings of salt and vinegar. It’s a tradition that takes many of us straight back to childhood seaside trips and Friday teatimes at home. 🏖️💭

Our residents had a wonderful time reliving those special memories – the chatter, the laughter, and of course, the tasty food made it a truly heart-warming afternoon. 🥰 For some, it was the highlight of their week… and we can definitely see why!

At Magnolia House, it’s these simple, meaningful moments that bring so much joy and remind us all of the little things in life that make the biggest difference. 💛

🍯✨ Sweet Afternoon at Magnolia House...

Recently we enjoyed something a little different – a honey tasting session! 🐝

From cheesecakes to cakes and now honey, we love exploring new flavours together. 💛

It was a fun, sweet experience that brought lots of smiles and happy conversations. Another reminder that it’s the little things that make the biggest difference. 💕

🐾💛 A Special Visitor at Magnolia House...

We were delighted to welcome Margo the PAT dog to our home recently, and what a joy she brought with her! 🐶✨

Animal therapy has so many proven benefits – from reducing stress and lifting spirits to sparking wonderful conversations and memories. Judging by the smiles on our residents’ faces (and the wag in Margo’s tail!), it was a truly heartwarming afternoon.

A big thank you to Margo and her handler for bringing such comfort, companionship, and happiness to both our residents and team. We’re already looking forward to the next visit! 🐕

☀️ Sunshine, Cake & Good Company...

At Magnolia House Care Home, we’ve been making the most of the beautiful sunshine this week by spending time in our outdoor spaces, enjoying the warmth and fresh air.

Of course, no afternoon is complete without something sweet – and this week’s treat was a Lemon Meringue Tasting! 🍋 From lemon meringue ice cream to lemon meringue pie and lemon cakes, all served with a good cup of tea, it was the perfect summer indulgence.

There’s always something happening here – and plenty more to look forward to in the coming weeks! 💛

🎶 From Bingo to Beautiful Music...

At Magnolia House, we’ve been making the most of our time indoors during the recent rainy days. Earlier this week, our residents enjoyed a cosy afternoon of bingo, full of laughter, chatter, and just a touch of friendly competition! ☔🎉

We also had the pleasure of a sing-along session with MindSong – complete with clapping, tapping of feet, and warming up our vocal cords to some much-loved tunes. 🎤💃 A big thank you to the MindSong team for bringing such joy and energy to the home. ❤️

With sunshine on the way, we’re excited to take the fun outdoors, making the most of our garden and bright blue skies. 🌞🌿

☔ From Rainy Day Bingo to Sunny Day Fun! ☀️

At Magnolia House Care Home, we’ve been keeping spirits high whatever the weather. With the rain pouring down recently, we enjoyed a cosy afternoon of bingo – complete with plenty of laughs and a little friendly competition! 🎉

But with glorious sunshine on the horizon, we’re looking forward to swapping bingo cards for our beautiful outdoor space, making the most of the warm weather and bright blue skies. 🌼🌳

🐾 A Special Visit from Margo the PAT Dog!...

We had a lovely surprise recently at Magnolia House with a visit from the wonderful Margo the PAT Dog — and she certainly brought plenty of smiles with her!

Both residents and staff absolutely adored spending time with Margo, enjoying gentle cuddles, wagging tails, and the calming presence she brings.

Pet therapy is such a special part of what we do — encouraging connection, boosting wellbeing, and simply making everyone’s day a little brighter.
