🎄 Gingerbread Decorating Afternoon at Magnolia House! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

What a fantastic festive afternoon we’ve had – our residents rolled up their sleeves and got creative decorating their very own HOMEMADE gingerbread men! 🍪✨

With Christmas aprons on, hats at the ready, and plenty of icing and colourful sweets to go around, everyone embraced the fun… and the results were absolutely adorable (and delicious!).

✨ A Festive Evening at Magnolia House! ✨

Last night, our lounge was filled with the beautiful sound of Christmas melodies as we welcomed The Kemerton Clangers, a talented local handbell ringing group. 🎶🔔

Residents gathered together to enjoy the performance, tapping along to familiar favourites and soaking up the festive spirit. With mulled wine in hand and tasty Christmas treats to enjoy, it made for the perfect cosy winter evening.

A huge thank you to The Kemerton Clangers for bringing such joy to our residents — we hope to welcome you back again soon!

At Magnolia House, we pause today, on Remembrance Sunday to reflect:

“For those who gave their lives, so we could live ours.”

Our residents and team have come together to create thoughtful displays across the home—hand-crafted poppies, a beautiful remembrance wall, and tributes that honour not only the men and women who served, but also the animals who stood alongside them.

As we prepare for Remembrance Day on 11th November, we invite our community to join us in a moment of reflection and gratitude. Today, tomorrow, and always—we remember.

🎃 A Fang-tastic Halloween...

We had a spook-tacular time from dawn till dusk, with residents and staff really getting into the spirit.

Our haunting highlights included:
• Hallo-win Bingo with prizes that were simply delicious
• “Dare to Dip” — brave souls reached into our slimy cauldron to pick-a-treat (icky, sticky and frightfully fun!)
• Cauldron toss games that were witch-perfect for friendly competition
• A monster mash-up of costumes—devilishly good hats, bewitching capes and plenty of eerie accessories
• Trick-or-treat trays loaded with boo-licious bakes and fang-fresh refreshments

There were cackles, chuckles and a few playful shrieks—no tricks here. Huge thanks to our team for brewing up an event that was wickedly well-organised and inclusive for everyone.

🎃 Spook-tacular Pumpkin Carving at Magnolia...

We’ve been carving out some time recently to create a patch of gorgeous jack-o’-lanterns—and our residents did an un-boo-lievable job! From friendly smiles to spooky faces, every pumpkin has its own personality.

We can’t wait to light them up this evening and join in the Halloween fun around Tewkesbury. No tricks here—just plenty of creative treats and lots of laughter!

☕🍰 Outing Day at Magnolia House...

We wrapped up warm and headed out for coffee & cake—and while some may say it’s a little early, we couldn’t resist a wander through the Christmas decorations!

From sparkling trees to cheeky festive characters, there were smiles all round and plenty of “oohs” and “aahs.” 🎄❄️

A huge thank you to our residents, families, staff and neighbours for supporting our cake sale — together we raised an amazing £274! 🥳

🐶💐 A Pawsitively Wonderful Visit at Magnolia House!

We were delighted to welcome Margo the PAT Dog to Magnolia House recently — and what a wonderful visit it was!

Margo made her way around the home, greeting our residents with gentle cuddles, wagging tails, and plenty of affection. It was heartwarming to see so many smiles and happy faces — she truly brightened everyone’s day.

A huge thank you to Margo (and her owner) for spreading so much joy and comfort. We can’t wait for your next visit! 🐾✨

☀️🍓🍰 A Sweet Afternoon at Magnolia House...

With the sunshine shining down, we couldn’t resist treating ourselves to a wonderful afternoon of fresh fruit platters and a tempting selection of cakes.

From juicy watermelon and strawberries to slices of homemade cake, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
It was the perfect way to bring a little sunshine indoors as we approach the end of summer.

🐟✨ Fish & Chips Friday at Magnolia House!....

There’s something magical about the smell of fresh fish and chips, wrapped up in paper, with lashings of salt and vinegar. It’s a tradition that takes many of us straight back to childhood seaside trips and Friday teatimes at home. 🏖️💭

Our residents had a wonderful time reliving those special memories – the chatter, the laughter, and of course, the tasty food made it a truly heart-warming afternoon. 🥰 For some, it was the highlight of their week… and we can definitely see why!

At Magnolia House, it’s these simple, meaningful moments that bring so much joy and remind us all of the little things in life that make the biggest difference. 💛

🍯✨ Sweet Afternoon at Magnolia House...

Recently we enjoyed something a little different – a honey tasting session! 🐝

From cheesecakes to cakes and now honey, we love exploring new flavours together. 💛

It was a fun, sweet experience that brought lots of smiles and happy conversations. Another reminder that it’s the little things that make the biggest difference. 💕
