Join our Virtual Patient Participation Group today.

Our Virtual Patient Participation Group (VPPG) is a way for registered patients at Mythe Medical Practice to have a real say in how our services are run, without ever needing to attend a meeting in person.

As a member, you’ll receive quarterly online surveys that you can complete entirely in your own time, at home, at work, or on your phone. It takes just a few minutes and your input makes a genuine difference to how we care for our community.

No meetings. No travel. No Pressure

Suggest ideas for improvement- Have a thought about how we could improve appointments, communications, or any aspect of your care? We want to hear it.

How does it work?

Once you sign up, you’ll be added to our VPPG mailing list. Once every 3 months we’ll send you a short survey by email. The survey will only take a few minutes to complete.

There are no obligations, no meetings to attend and no minimum commitment. You can opt out at any time. We simply ask that you respond when you can and that you’re a registered patient at Mythe Medical Practice.

Your responses will be used anonymously alongside other patient feedback to help the practice team plan improvements, respond to concerns and develop services that truly meet the needs of our patients.

We’re hosting a live session on Wednesday 15th April, 6–7pm where you can hear directly from specialists and get your questions answered.
What we’ll cover:

• When should you be concerned?

Our speakers, Dr Henry Steer (Consultant in Thoracic Medicine) and Dr Jeremy Welch (GP), will be discussing common presentations, treatments, advice, and new screening opportunities.

Bowel cancer screening saves lives. If you have worrying symptoms, no matter your age, speak to your GP. If you are 50+ you will automatically receive a screening kit in the post so please put it by the loo (not in a drawer where you will forget about it

⚠️ Industrial Action and temporary changes to Cheltenham A&E

Industrial action by Resident Doctors (BMA) will affect Cheltenham General Hospital’s (CGH) A&E next week.

🚑 From Monday 6 April, Cheltenham A&E will be CLOSED overnight (8pm–8am) and open as an MIIU during the day (8am–8pm)
👉 Normal A&E services at Cheltenham will resume 8am Monday 13 April.

❗Major emergencies will not be affected — ambulances will continue to take patients to the right place for care. NHS 111 and 999 remain available as normal.

Patients who have a planned operation, outpatient clinic or procedure between Tuesday 7 April until (and including) Monday 13 April (during the strike) should attend as usual unless they hear from us directly to advise otherwise.

Mythe Medical Practice IS PROUD TO SUPPORT TEWKESBURY PARK RUN.

What is Tewkesbury parkrun?
A free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event. Walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate – it's up to you! Nearby Sunday 2k junior parkrun events for 4 to 14 year olds and their families can be found here.

When is it?
Every Saturday at 9:00am.

Where is it?
The event takes place at the Vineyards, Gander Lane, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, GL20 5PG. See Course page for more details.

What does it cost to join in?
Nothing - it's free! but please register before you first come along. Only ever register with parkrun once and don't forget to bring a scannable copy of your barcode (request a reminder). If you forget it, you won't get a time.

How fast do I have to be?
We all take part for our own enjoyment. Please come along and join in whatever your pace!
