We are still collecting old tech at Mythe Medical. If you have any unused phones, tablets, laptops or accessories, feel free to drop them in. Every item helps someone in our community stay connected and supported.

🌟 Success Story Saturday 🌟

Today we want to shine a light on the incredible generosity of the Tewkesbury community. 💛

Our Digital & Technology Navigator for Tewkesbury Borough, Ella, recently received 44 phones, 11 tablets, 16 computers/laptops, 5 printers, more cables, keyboards, monitors than we could count, and enough mice to recreate “Ratatouille”! These donations will go straight into our Technology Bank, supporting people across the borough who need access to the digital world to stay connected, learn, manage their wellbeing, and live more independently.

Every device donated — whether a smartphone, tablet, laptop, or accessory — has the power to change someone’s daily life. Your kindness means more people can apply for work, attend appointments, stay in touch with loved ones, and access the support they need.

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated through our drop off point at Mythe Surgery. The community is making such a meaningful difference. Your generosity fuels the work we do, and the impact stretches far beyond the devices themselves.

⚠️ Industrial Action and temporary changes to Cheltenham A&E

Industrial action by Resident Doctors (BMA) will affect Cheltenham General Hospital’s A&E from Friday 14 to Wednesday 19 November. From 8pm on Thursday 13 Nov, Cheltenham A&E will operate as a Minor Injuries & Illness Unit (MIIU) during the strike to allow available emergency care staff to come together at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.

🚑 From Friday 14 Nov, Cheltenham A&E will be open as an MIIU during the day (8am–8pm) and close overnight (8pm–8am).
Normal A&E services will resume 8am Wednesday 19 Nov.

❗Major emergencies will not be affected — ambulances will continue to take patients to the right place for care.
NHS 111 and 999 remain available as normal.

Free Digital Support Session: Getting Started with the NHS App & Digital Health Services

We're pleased to announce that Ella-May from the DAISI charity will be running a drop-in support session at Mythe Medical Centre to help our patients get started with the NHS App.

The NHS App allows you to order repeat prescriptions, view your health records and access a range of other healthcare services online.

Ella-May will be available to provide one-to-one support with:
- Downloading and setting up the NHS App
- Navigating the features of the app
- Accessing other NHS Recommended Apps for wellbeing
- Any questions about digital health services

When: Thursday 13th November,
9am - 1pm - Mythe Medical Practice waiting room

This is a drop-in session - no need to book an appointment. Feel free to bring your phone, tablet or laptop with you.
