Through this they create strong and lasting freindships with both you and your family. This is one of the key reasons why our homes are lovely places to live - they feel like communities where the whole family is respected and looked after.

We had a lovely afternoon here at Chargrove Lawn recently, all thanks to Michael...

One of our residents (Michael) kindly invited everyone out to take a look at the planting he’s been working so hard on in the garden—and it’s safe to say it didn’t disappoint! The space is looking fantastic, and everyone was full of compliments for the care and effort he’s put in.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Chargrove without turning it into a bit of a social occasion, Residents gathered together in the sunshine to enjoy a glass of non-alcoholic wine or beer, along with some delicious treats, and most importantly, each other’s company.

It was a really relaxed and cheerful afternoon, with plenty of smiles, chats, and admiration for Michael’s brilliant work. A big well done from all of us! 👏🌼

We’ve been making the most of the beautiful sunshine here at Parton House 🌞

Residents have been enjoying some time out in the gardens, taking in all the lovely signs that spring is well and truly here. The lawns are looking wonderfully green, flowers are beginning to bloom, and there’s plenty of wildlife to keep an eye on too 🐿️🌼

During our strolls, we even spotted a cheeky squirrel helping itself to some food, which certainly brought a few smiles!

It’s been lovely, fingers crossed this weather continues...

St George’s Day Celebrations at Magnolia House 🌹

Yesterday we marked St George’s Day in wonderful style, bringing a real sense of tradition, community and celebration to the home.

Our dining rooms were beautifully decorated with the St George’s flag, creating a festive and patriotic atmosphere for residents to enjoy. ❤️🤍 Residents came together to share a delicious, traditional meal featuring roast beef with Yorkshire puddings, followed by homemade apple pie and custard – a firm favourite!

The celebrations didn’t stop there… a selection of themed sweet treats, including beautifully decorated cupcakes, added an extra special touch to the day. 🧁

A big thank you to our team for making the day so special! 👏

✨ A Creative and Meaningful Visit....

Yesterday at Bredon View, we were delighted to welcome Messy Vintage—a wonderful service that brings together faith, creativity, and connection through hands-on activities, much like a traditional Sunday school experience. 🎨💛

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed taking part in a relaxing and engaging craft session, colouring and decorating thoughtful designs while spending time together around the table. The activity provided a lovely opportunity for self-expression, conversation, and reflection, with plenty of smiles shared along the way.

A big thank you to Messy Vintage for bringing such a meaningful and inclusive experience into our home—we look forward to welcoming you again soon! 🌼

🧩 Puzzle Time at Bredon View Care Home 🧩

We’ve been really enjoying getting stuck into puzzles here at Bredon View, and they’ve quickly become a favourite activity for many of our residents.

From colourful garden scenes to nostalgic pictures that spark memories and conversation, it’s been lovely to see everyone working together, sharing ideas, and celebrating each piece that finds its place. There’s a real sense of teamwork around the table, with plenty of smiles (and a bit of friendly determination too!).

Puzzles are not only great fun, but also a wonderful way to keep the mind active and encourage social interaction – and it’s clear to see just how much everyone is enjoying them.

We’re already looking forward to the next one! 😊🧩

We were delighted to welcome live entertainment into Parton recently, bringing a wonderful afternoon of music, singing and a little bit of dancing too.

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed the performance, with many joining in with familiar songs, clapping along and sharing smiles throughout. It’s always lovely to see how music brings people together and creates such a positive atmosphere across the home.

A big thank you to the performers for such an uplifting visit – we’re already looking forward to the next one 🎶

This Easter brought something truly special for our residents, families, and staff to enjoy together.

On Tuesday 14th, we welcomed five duck eggs into the home, and over the following days, everyone eagerly gathered to watch and wait. It quickly became the highlight of the week, with residents regularly checking in on their progress and sharing in the excitement.

Our first duckling hatched on Wednesday evening – a beautiful dark one, lovingly named Billie. On Thursday night, we were delighted to welcome our second arrival, a bright yellow duckling named Daffy. By Friday midday, our third little duckling made its appearance – the smallest of the trio, named Tiny Tim. Although Tiny Tim had a slight crooked neck, he showed real strength and resilience, and it was heartwarming to see him doing so well.

From those first moments of hatching to watching them find their feet, explore their surroundings, and enjoy their very first swims, the ducklings brought so much joy into the home. Residents loved holding them, observing their personalities develop, and reminiscing about their own experiences with animals over the years. It sparked countless conversations, smiles, and special shared moments between residents, families, and staff.

Animal experiences like this are incredibly meaningful, offering comfort, stimulation, and a real sense of connection. It was wonderful to see how something so simple could bring so much happiness to everyone involved.

This week, we said a fond farewell as the ducklings returned home. While it was a sad goodbye, we are so grateful for the memories they’ve given us – ones that will be talked about for a long time to come.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this such a special Easter at Magnolia House 🐥💛

We made the most of the sunshine this weekend at Parton House ☀️

With our front and rear gardens looking bright in the sun, it was the perfect excuse to get outside, enjoy some fresh air and spend time together.

Whether it was sitting in the sun with a chat, taking in the flowers, or simply enjoying a quiet moment, it’s safe to say the good weather lifted everyone’s spirits.

We can't wait to get our hands dirty planting new flowers and getting creative with our pots, stay tuned for more updates.

At Chargrove Lawn, we believe it’s important that our residents truly feel at home — and that includes having a say in the spaces around them.

We were delighted to see resident MM getting involved in the garden, helping to choose the perfect spot for our new hydrangeas at the front of the home. It’s wonderful to see residents taking pride in their surroundings and making their mark in such a meaningful way.

A big thank you to MM for helping us make our garden even more beautiful.

While we wait for the sunshine to make an appearance, it’s been all about puzzles and games here at Parton House 🧩

From carefully placing those tricky jigsaw pieces to taking on the not-so-simple penguin stacking challenge, there’s been plenty of focus, laughter and a bit of friendly determination along the way.

Some puzzles definitely tested our patience more than others—but that just made finishing them even more satisfying.

It’s moments like these that keep everyone engaged, active and enjoying each other’s company. And of course, there’s always someone ready to lend a hand when that one missing piece seems impossible to find.

Our gardening club at Chargrove Lawn has been busy making the most of the sunshine this weekend.

Residents spent time together digging over the herb beds, preparing them for planting and bringing new life into our garden spaces. It’s a wonderful activity that not only keeps everyone active, but also creates a real sense of achievement and teamwork.

With planting next on the agenda, we’re looking forward to enjoying the rewards of our homegrown herbs in the kitchen — adding that extra special touch to our meals.

Well done to everyone involved — we can’t wait to see it all flourish.
