By no means conclusive, but some really interesting insight from a recent national survey into public understanding of what Music Therapy is and how people can access and benefit from it:

The wonderful Renboga Neurodiversity Celebration Day is back and I can heartily recommend it! They have built up an amazingly welcoming and inclusive environment and it needs to be seen! The event itself offers a great set of different activities for all ages and interests.

And yes, I will have a stall there (!), but even if I wasn't part of it I promise I would be singing its praises just as much...

Hello! After a short break on the blog front, here's a new piece off the back of an interview with Hannah Nepilova, a counsellor based in South London. Thanks for the really engaging conversation !

A conversation that delves into who can access Music Therapy, some core Music Therapy techniques and working with trauma in Music Therapy.

Thanks so much to Rosie and Ciddy at Renboga for inviting me to be part of their wonderful Neurodiversity Day yesterday. It really is a beautiful, welcoming and inclusive place.

It was a pleasure to meet some new families and hear their experiences. And great to meet some fellow professionals doing amazing things:

Hear the full piece between minutes 14.05-33.25.

I hope everyone is hanging in there during what I know is often a very challenging time towards the end of term. So many changes to routine and a lot of transitions to navigate for children, young people and parents alike.

I will be continuing to offer Music Therapy assessment sessions and introductory music lessons until 16th August. I still have some availability on Wednesdays and Thursdays in the next few weeks, so please feel free to get in touch if you would like to find out more!
