On average it takes 7 years for women to ask for help for menopause related issues…
The average age of women in the UK to commence their menopause is 51 years old.
During the perimenopause women are vulnerable to hormonal changes risking their mental health.
33% of women report they do not exercise during this time of life.
25-40% of women are unsure on how to do pelvic floor exercises and end up holding their breath during exercise in an attempt ‘to hold it all in’.
Women will start to lose their lean mass and body fat distribution changes, making weight creep on.

SETBACKS are all part of the process in life, so what’s so different during your training/rehab?
😞It’s normal for patients to drop off when rehab is not going how they EXPECTED it to…it’s taking longer and it’s at times it is painful.
🙋🏻‍♀️ but at these stages it is the key time to sit down with your therapist and realize this is NORMAL and understand 🧐why these ‘bumps in the road’ may be. Overall to help support your mental well-being and encourage consistency with your training.
📝Therapists will often ask you to set small, short term goals (your small wins!) These are useful to help pace yourself, but also to see that rehab is working, just in a more REALISTIC time frame - to achieve your end goal.
