Whenever I am away I do like taking photos of staircases.
I think life is like a staircase - each step shaping who we become.
Some paths are like the Spanish Steps in Rome - broad, bustling, full of energy and movement. Others resemble the Chand Bari stepwell in India - steep, intricate, requiring patience and perseverance.
For this who are neurodivergent, the steps may look different, with unexpected turns, it may resemble an escalator moving the wrong way- progress feeling slower, yet no less meaningful.
There are moments when life feels like the Spiral staircase in Sintra - winding repetitive, making us wonder if we’re truly moving forward.
No matter the staircase, the key is to keep climbing. Some steps will be easy, others will test your strength. Some require adaptations, different approaches, a reimagining of the journey. But every ascent brings wisdom, resilience, and and a new perspective.
If ADHD is making the climb feel overwhelming, you don’t have to navigate it alone.

Free the Butterfly has gone a bit of a transformation and new journey. Moving house, renovating the house and having a brand new therapy room built has all happened over the last 8 months.
I’ve also been retraining and I’m going in a slightly different direction.
I’m now qualified as a Therapeutic ADHD Coach, so if you have a teenager in mainstream school or adult, who needs extra support to manage their ADHD then contact me.
I also offer ADHD awareness training for workplaces and school staff.
I will also be blending therapies to offer Therapeutic Coaching.
I continue to offer my hands on therapies and all details are on my new website which I’ve created myself (very proud of myself for that) 🤗

Tiredness is stopping many of us from moving more for our mental health. 💤

Feeling too tired, as well as too busy, many people are opting for activities they see as more relaxing for their mental health, rather than physical activity.

Yet we know that movement can boost energy, as well as supporting good sleep. So, it can be important that we find ways to move that work for us. 💜

It can help to start with small, achievable goals. Even short bursts of movement can make a difference. Stretches in front of the TV, a walk to the end of your road, gentle chair exercises – it all counts, and it adds up.
